Just look how much money and milk is wasted because they put a carton of milk on the kids tray and the kid then chunks it in the trash because they don’t want milk.

Every lunch served has a carton of milk so they have to buy that much milk every day. If it was left up to the kids to take milk if they wanted milk, the amount of milk served would be a fraction of what it is now.

Not only would the schools save money, but the price you pay for milk at the store would drop.

Same goes for all this other mandatory crap they put on kids tray that they don’t want to eat.

I can relate to the milk thing. I haven’t drank milk since I was about 5. In grade school in the mid 50s they had the milk program in schools, a foul mixture of skim milk and powdered milk.

The teacher forced me to drink down a glass even after I told her I didn’t like it and it made me sick. She took the glass from me and said “Now that was not so bad, was it?” at which time I promptly puked on her shoes. She never approached me again to drink the “milk”.
