Romney: Conservatives Who Don't Like Me Now Will Learn To When I'm The Nominee (video)

Mitt Romney talks to FOX News' Megyn Kelly about attracting support from conservative voters.

"When you ask in these prior elections, 'who as conservatives did you vote?,' I won the conservative vote. Some who are very conservative may not yet be in my camp, but they will be when I become the nominee, when I face Barack Obama. Because again, what the nation wants is someone who understands the economy, not, if you will, an economy lightweight. I mean, Senator Santorum is a nice guy but he does not understand how the economy works. He's never had a job in the real economy. You have to understand this economy in order to fix it," he said.

This is a terrible headline. It is not what Romney said, and it is written to sway people. Let the facts play themselves out, but dont result to NYT tactics. If they wanted to hit him for smarmyness, they should have gone aft his saying he won important states while discounting Ms and Al.

I had Romney ranked above only Ron Paul and John Huntsman. But when it comes down to it, I'd vote for Jerry Sandusky over Obama.

I’m afraid this election was rigged a long time ago. When Romney loses it will be because of us “extreme conservatives” who didn’t vote for him.

If we all don’t unite behind and vote for the GOP nominee, whomever it is, we’ll get another 4yrs of Bammy, and America’s finished for good. We’re getting close to halfway there now, I believe. I’d prefer Palin, DeMint, Gingrich, Bachmann, Santorum etc, but we’re only going to get one chance at this after the convention, so we’d better make it count for a win.

Are you going to stay home, if “your guy” doesn’t get the nod, and let Obummer waltz right back in for 4 more? This is the most important election in our lifetimes. 2008 was a disaster; this’ll be catastrophic if we don’t get that POS out of the WH.

2008 was catastrophic, because the GOP thought that we would just eat whatever dog food they fed us.....never again!

Agreed 101%; this is the most important election of our lives. 4 more years of this will kill America off, forever.

Either is National suicide. Zero will lead to Revolution quicker, and that’s the ONLY thing that will save our Republic. It will take a series of Constitutional Conservative presidents in a row, with like-minded congresses, to reverse the rot 70 years of liberalism/socialism has lead this once-great Nation to.

Bring it.... I’d rather fight the battle myself than see my kids in slavery to a tyrannical government.

They also did that to us in ‘92 with Dole, and we got Billy Bob, didn’t we? Too much of the Conservative base stayed home. That was bad. Obummer&Co is 100x worse. I can see what’s coming if he gets another 4yrs, and it’s real ugly.

Zero will lead to Revolution quicker

Zero is more blatant about his socialism, which will make it easier to oppose.....Mitt will be more subtle about it, which makes him even more dangerous.

So magic Mitt is going to bring the babies who died via the $50 and free abortions back to life?
He's going to wave his fairy wand and make gay marriage disappear?
He's going to roll back time and undo Romneycare and Obamacare?
He'g going to drop his mandates and fees and his love for them as well?
He's going to remove the knives he's placed in conservative backs for years, apologize to Reagan for smearing him after his death, and repay every conservative he's trashed?

OH NO?!

Then he's doing another round of begging for support.

Mitt Romney: Oh please please support me. I'll do or say anything to get elected. Just please tell me what it is you want. I can pay you.

NO! I will never support him.
