Willing to Accept Santorum-Gingrich Ticket-Just Keep Newt's brain working for America
March 15, 2012 | Ralph Mitchell

Posted on 03/15/2012 9:23:10 AM PDT by mitchell001

It is hard to argue against Newt Gingrich's brainpower, skills, experience, ideas, & sincere desire to put America back in its rightful place as the leader of the free world both technologically and culturally. It would be ashame to exclude Newt Gingrich from the next administration that takes office, January 2013. In that vein, we conservatives should be willing to accept a Santorum-Gingrich or Gingrich-Santorum Ticket, denying Romney the nomination, in order to truly fix America with Conservative Ideas and Actions. This requires that both Santorum and Gingrich stay in the GOP race until the convention. Any takers?

I always said I wanted Rick first, but would vote for Newt and NEVER romney. Especially after an interview I saw yesterday when he was asked about the base & and he said, “the base will vote for me” pure arrogance.

I see a man of heart and soul & a man who is highly intelligent. Together they would be phenomenal. That is the big argument we see here with the Newt vs Rick people. We both sides see qualities in these men that we want.

I got this off the ADF website.

The Agenda to Indoctrinate Children at School

These are quotes from a big leftist who want to change what your kids think “You may come to the conclusion that growing up means rejecting the values of your parents.”
“If we do our jobs right, we’re going to raise a whole generation of kids who don’t believe [the claims of Christianity].”
James Anderson, the former communications director of the
Gay, Lesbian, and Straight

There is an intense battle for the mind and soul of children at publicly funded schools where the dominant secular culture is undermining the Christian teaching of parents like you. Students are under great pressure to conform to the schools’ radical, anti-Christian views on issues such as abortion and homosexual behavior, which are imposed on them by secular textbooks, administrators, and teachers.

In fact, in states like Massachusetts – where same-sex “marriage” has been fabricated – school children as young as kindergarten are forced to learn about homosexual behavior in class – with or without parental permission.

As a result of this anti-Christian indoctrination in school, countless students begin questioning their faith and ultimately turn away from the Church by the time they graduate from high school.

Gay agenda is being pushed on schoolkids (Judge rules school must allow access to sexually explicit LGBT sites. A federal judge has ordered a Missouri school district to unblock its web filters and give students access to sexually explicit material by the middle of March.)

I have 3 sons and 4 grandsons & 2 granddaughters and I do not want them exposed to the lefts lies. I want there innocence protected. If the media was reporting the important things that Obama, his leftist gay friends and the media is doing to steal our childrens heart and soul; most people would be outraged.

Last week some here were debating Newt and Rick. I could tell some were very anti-faith, so I tried to stay on economics. Finally I said that there are some things that are more important them money. I was excoriated and told it was the most selfish, mean, hateful thing this person heard. Maybe I did not explain good enough what I meant, but all of us nowayromney people can work together.

What good is having lots of money if your kids/grandkids grow up to be faithless, self-induldgent, sex obsessed, big leftist? Part of us, lives on in our kids and grandkids. We have to protect them at all costs.

This is only one part of the cultural issue. I think Rick could hit obama right between the eyes with this. Example: “Obama believes that it is not only ok to have an abortion up to 9 months in the womb, but also AFTER a baby is born. “ Lots of women have had an abortion and feel guilty (I was a counselor at a Crisis Pregnancy Center for years & worked with those considering and those who have had an abortion) He could say something like. “There are millions of hurting women out there who are victims (the left likes to make people victims, we can throw it back at them) of people like obama who told them, its ok to get an abortion, it's not a baby, so they did out of fear or panic. Then later it hits them what they did and they realize they can't take back what happened and wish they could. These women are suffering because of the lies of the left who don't value life. Even life of a newly born baby.” I have worked with these women and there are millions of them looking for someone to speak to there issue in a compassionate way.

We could go from social issue to issue. Many people out here are scared and don't like what they see this country turning into. I'm one of those. Newt people can cover the economics.....

I think both Gingrich and Santorum want to deny a Romney win before the convention. If they would just plan to campaign in different states, it would help. Then, they could further coordinate their efforts at the convention.

Santorum is there to triangulate Gingrich. Santorum will run with Romney and lose.

Ditto.
And in four years, Rick can pick up a bright young prospect for his VP.

Gingrich/Santorum. This would give Santorum a chance to see how the real inter-workings of the real big time works. Right now this kid as a Senator has no idea with is involved as President. This kid would buckle under the pressure. Newt is a harden real bulldog and would whip ass.

Whoever wins the most delegates on the top. The people then chose that person, whoever it is.

The problem is that so few fo you big R republicans know what one is.

LOL. Figure out what the difference between a socialist and a Catholic politician who believes in the principle of subsidiarity and then get back to me.

Santorum is no socialist.

Only if Gingrich is at the top of the ticket. I’m not voting for VP again...I did that w McCain.

I think it’s highly unlikely, though. Santorum was one of the GOP Establishment that turned on Gingrich (even though Gingrich had been his mentor) and dumped him because they were embarrassed at his success with the Contract With America and the Dems’ rage and resulting attacks. So I don’t think there’s any love lost there, and I think it’s highly unlikely that they would work together.

In any case, if either Romney or Santorum gets it, I’d expect them to pick Rubio.

You must vote for Mitt if he’s the nominee. Also, will Noot accept a VP?? I kind of doubt it.

....how do you figure we “must”? I won’t and expect that the whole country will resist the fascist0ne... whereas with Mittens we get socialized med, bad judges and goalong/getalong Repeubs governing as liberals like Bush did...

no, I won’t vote for RinoRomney... period

ymmv

Santorum is willing to have him as his VP, but is Gingrich willing to accept? Here’s what Santorum said publicly a week ago:

Santorum to Newsmax: I’d Consider Gingrich for VP

http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/santorum-gingrich-runningmate-alabama/2012/03/08/id/431942

If Gingrich would accept, Romney wouldn’t stand a chance. Let us pray...

Whatever people decide it should happen soon so Romney and Paul don't take most of the delegates.
Top priority # 1 is to stop Romney/Paul from getting the GOP nomination...

How about a brokered convention and McDonnell/Palin Ticket?

No way to McDonnell.....he endorsed Romney and it had NOTHING to do with the fact there was two people in the race. He said he would endorse him even if all four were in.

that Santorum will either have to accept being a relative figure head status, or the infighting between the two will be legendary.

I don’t think Santorum just has to be a figure head. He is a pretty smart guy afterall. However, the biggest problem I have with your post is that you believe that they would have infighting. NEVER. These two have worked together for years and respect each other. They would work together fine. The only thing I like about a Newt/Santorum over a Santorum/Newt is that we would have a guaranteed candidate after 8 years as opposed to Newt being too old to run after 8 years like Cheney was which screwed us in 2008.
