Americans must ensure Republicans dont settle for partial repeal
Every election, voters are told that this election is the most important of our lifetimes. In most elections, its not really true. In 2012, though, it probably is true, for one reason: Obamacare.
Two years after a Democratic Congress and President Obama foisted onto the American people an unpopular trillion-dollar takeover of American health care, we know that Obamacare is, in fact, even more unpopular than before and that it will cost almost $2 trillion.
The American people were told Obamacare would reduce health care costs, but premiums already are jumping. The American people were told they could keep their own coverage, but a new Congressional Budget Office report says millions will lose their current coverage every year.
Indeed, the final hurdle for Obamacares passage was Mr. Obamas and then-Speaker Nancy Pelosis scramble to convince religiously minded Democrats that religious liberty and individual conscience rights would be protected under their new law. The recent abortion-pill mandate shows those 11th-hour promises were false.
So, as should be the case about something as important as a government takeover of one-sixth of the economy, the final decision about Obamacare must be made by the American people at the ballot box. Already, voters voiced their disapproval in the historic 2010 elections, which sent many Obamacare supporters to the unemployment line.
This year, the November elections will either return to Washington a pro-Obamacare president and Congress or a pro-repeal president and Congress. They will have a mandate to enact the publics will, one way or the other.

Um ... Senator DeMint. I know a way that you can personally make that happen. Get this awful primary to a brokered convention and get your hat in the ring as our White Knight.
We know Romney likes it. Newt said he likes about 300 pages of it.
bump to that
Jim DeMint Ping?
As long as the “structure” of Obamacare remains, Obamacare remains. All of the noxious stuff they take out can just as easily be put back in, quietly, with no one watching. It needs a stake thru the heart, burnt, and salt poured over it to make sure it never rises again.
Recently McCain was on With Greta and was talking about “repealing and replacing” BS BS BS
I like your “stake thru the heart, burnt, and salt poured over it”, it’s exactly what has to happen.
” - - - the only health care votes Republicans should cast should be for full repeal of the unconstitutional takeover.”
I agree, fully repeal and ABOLISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have just defined the Litmus Test that reveals a RINO.
” - - - repealing and replacing - - - “ is just another way of saying “I like your idea so I’m going to take it from you and make it MY idea.”
BTW, why does this RINO behavior remind me of spoiled brat pre-schoolers?
bttt
“Repeal and Replace” is the same phrase on Santorum’s website.
Regardless of all the promises made in favor of a centrally controlled “health” program, none of them shall ever be fulfilled.
It will never reduce medical expenses.
It will never assure that needed medical attention will be delivered to the right person, nor shall the delivered services be appropriate in most instances.
The propensity to use the program as a tax collection scheme, and not as a health delivery program, will result in a fiasco much like what has happened to Medicare and Social Security - the funds collected are borrowed from liberally to serve “other” needs of the expenses of running the government, and the funds will never be available when the surplus ends, as it shall one day, because the program is not actuarially sound.
Any innovations and refinements of technique will be sharply discouraged, as it is not “cost-effective” to do any of these unproven things, nor shall there ever be an opportunity to prove their worth.
Death panels are inevitable, as the bean counters get busy calculating the “Quality of Average Remaining Years”. There shall no longer be that dream of the golden years in the sunset of retirement. Even minor illnesses will go untreated, or given only palliative care once the individual is no longer “gainfully employed”, a circumstance that may occur with alarming swiftness. Major illnesses virtually demand euthanasia. At almost any age.
There is no redeeming social benefit in the long run for any sort of government-managed medical services delivery system.
Bachman’s bill calls for full repeal.
My day-1 post after the Pubbies took over the House was “End it , don’t mend it! Shoulda gone to copyright with that.
In the same post I said, “Don’t fix it, nix it!” Guess I’ll wait to see if someone co-opts that, too
On the first day NEWT will repeal it and will be before the zero’s land in Chicago.
And Romney won’t do a thing and rick will follow the GOP E’s lead which means ‘no’ - don’t rock the boat.
Just another one of those reasons WeTheGov’t don’t want WeThePeople Speaker NEWT like they didn’t want WeThePeople Gov. Palin.
You betcha!
Thanks jazusamo.

Not merely false, they were downright and deliberate lies. Obama and his cronies ordered that betrayal themselves. That means they not only knew there would be no real religious exception, they never intended to allow their to be one.
No democrat can tell you with a strait face that Obama was ever honest about this nor honest about a lot of other Obama promises both in his campaign or sense.
Iraq war withdraw, public campaign financing, the so called “stimulus”, and of course Obamacare, California’s medical pot, are just a few of the well known strikes against him.
Obama is a lier who will tell anyone anything to get them to do his bidding and never hestate to stab them in the back with a lie. He is indeed a student of Saul Alinsky not only with republicans but his fellow democrats as well.
Do people think we will win the Senate? If SCOTUS rules against us, then it is up to the Congress, and I have heard no one say we will will the Senate. I am afraid this thing will stay unless SCOTUS rules against it.
