Without stating your cost basis and how efficient it is compared to being on the grid that's like saying you drive a Chevy Volt and get great mileage. Probably true but not exactly cost efficient or useful to society at large. So how long will it take before you break even and start getting truly free power, and how easily can it be done to run hospitals, factories, malls and other typical uses that are now done at a relatively small expense with conventional power?
Only if you want to drive your Nissan Leaf more than 75 miles or so.
Congratulations, though, I've wished I could go off-grid, but here in New Hampshire I don't have enough wood on my property to survive the winter.
