Why did his handlers not brief him on this issue before he got to Puerto Rico? He was a U.S. Senator. He doesn't need briefing on something like this, nor were were his remarks a mistake. He told them the truth. That's part of his appeal among conservatives who are sick of verbal tap dances.

Oh boy, you stepped into it big-time now ElkGroveDan. If what you say is correct, then tell me why did he back-peddle the next day and say that he didn't say that; that he was taken out of context? Why are his aides scrambling to "undo the damage" made by his remarks? This is not something I "heard" I dug up the information. Do a Google search and you'll find it.
