Five people were killed and at least 12 other people wounded in shootings Saturday night and Sunday morning across the city.

The evening attacks follow the fatal shooting of a 6-year-old girl and the wounding of four other people in Chicago within an hour Saturday afternoon, and 16 shootings, including the slaying of a 42-year-old man, overnight Friday and early Saturday morning.

As a Chicago "community organizer", I'm curious if Obama can point to one single actual accomplishment that reduced the level of violence or improved anyone's lives for the better.

As a devout American Hating Muslim it was never his plan to reduce tensions and violence but quite the opposite to further the need for a bigger and more powerful central government police state with the likes of him at the helm.

This is pure BS!!!

Everybody knows that guns are outlawed in Chicago. There is NO POSSIBLE way that anybody was shot there in the last 20 years.

...oh yeah /s

It is safer to be a Marine in trashganistan than to be a civilian in Chicago.

I blame the defrocked king richie, rahmbo, and the community organizing poser.

Rahm Emmanuel said he wanted to confront the violence in Chicago when he was running for mayor. I wonder if he has put together any plans for this yet. It would be interesting to get the mayor’s reaction to this spate of violence in his city.

He'll find that he will need a 2nd and probably third term to effectively combat the problem. Since this is "diversity crime", look for no hard measures to be implemented.

Having spent some time in Evanston/the Loop in the early 80s, thanks for that link !

Having followed it, I veered off to the comments re one of the site op's leading posts:

Last night I took the misses out for a nice dinner to a restaurant near water tower. I have never in my life seen such animalistic behavior. I hate to describe it that way, but that is exactly what these youths were acting like. Walking in packs (I estimated one pack at about 75), yelling, running in traffic, fighting in the park. These animals really have no type of social skills that will ever make them worthy of mixing with civilized society. Where are thre parents, how come the reverends, community representatives and the alderman don't have anything to say about this.

If this continues there is no way a tragedy will not occur soon. But I'm sure then the parents, reverends, and other community representatives will be have something to say and sue.

Some days it's really hard to keep from thinking that all the toothpaste is already outta the tube . . .

Obama's "community organizing" left Chicago neighborhoods in ruins.

Grim proving ground for Obama's housing policy

"About 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls. Battered mailboxes hang open. Sewage backs up into kitchen sinks. In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale - a score so bad the buildings now face demolition."

That was all 0bama's doing.

Thanks for the link. The G8 summit was cancelled, but the nato summit is still coming and so are the protesters. I have been following the site for awhile keeping up with all the preparations. Chicago is in no way prepared for the NATO or G8 summit and its amazing how much the press covers for Rahm. FYI the cops refer to him as 9.5 because he is missing half a finger. A lot of cops put in for retirement the week before the protests and when they cancelled the G8 people wanted to stay in but were refused. Its not going to be pretty and I will be following the site to see what you wont get in the tribune or the sun times.

I am putting in my calendar to stay as far as possible away from the city the week of the NATO summit. Its not going to be pretty and since I cant be armed in Illinois, I will work from home.

I skimmed the article. The first half of the neighborhoods are mostly black. The second half are mixed to varying degrees. But probably its mostly black victims with a few mexican victims thrown in.

Today I was in one of the neighborhoods that has drivebys and the locals were out due to the warm weather. When I got stuck on a block as somebody is chatting with a car in front of me (yah they just block the road like that) I started to feel a bit uncomfortable.
