you’re jumping to huge conclusions about this being about race. There’s nothing on the calls that lead one to believe there’s a pattern. The dispatcher asked Zimmerman if he was white/black, etc and Z said black. And, if you had all the facts as you claim, you’d know about Z’s family coming out saying he’s from a MIXED race family and is not a racist.

I agree with the 2 posts above yours. Let it play out. If Z committed a crime, he should pay, if he didn’t he should walk. But shame on every damn one of you that claim this is race related. That serves to do nothing but inflame things and BACK up obama and his loser AG on their intent to destroy this country by race riots.

You are also jumping to conclusions. He did have problems with blacks. This has been established through complaints the HOA had about him. There was a racial epithet used by him during one of the 911 calls. There was no fight. The boy was on his back with a bag of skittles in his hand calling for help. There were witnesses to this and you can hear on the calls that he was calling for help. In no way can Zimmerman cite self defense. You and I disagree. We can do this. It does not make one right and the other wrong. It means we disagree. Now all we can do is wait for prosecution and see the outcome. But I do appreciate the debate and your thoughts on the case.

Also, let us not dismiss the fact that 911 told Zimmerman to Not pursue the young man. He had not committed any crime. He did not have a weapon. You cannot pursue someone and then claim self defense. I am a gun owner. I would never pursue someone in my home illegally and shoot him. You cannot do that in Texas and I doubt Fla is any different. My husband knew the homeowner here who did pursue the burglar and shot him. He was shocked he knew no better. Even with the Castle Doctrine, you are not allowed to do that.
