Pelosi: Never mind the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence authorizes Obamacare

OK, so Nancy Pelosi doesn’t actually say “Never mind the Constitution” in this clip, but she practically has before and she might as well have this time, too. While I firmly believe that the Founding documents are best understood in conjunction with each other (as Rick Santorum says, “If the Constitution is the “how” of America, the Declaration of Independence is the “why”), the Constitution is far more relevant to the authorization of Obamacare than, er, the Declaration of Independence, which is not a blueprint for government but a philosophical statement on the origin and nature of the authority to form a new government in the first place.

That’s all irrelevant, though, because the Declaration of Independence doesn’t provide support for Obamacare in the way Nancy Pelosi suggests anyway. Here she is, Ms. Obamacare:

Obamacare was inspired by a sentence in the Declaration of Independence:

"He has erected a Multitude of new Offices, and sent hither Swarms of Officers to harrass our People, and eat out the Substance."

SNL is just a democrat front group posing as ‘comedy’.

I can’t even watch it anymore, besides more than an hour of it being not funny. Can’t listen to the “bands” they have on there now either.

Every opening skit is set aside to hammer whatever Republican they want to target that week. It’s been like this for a long time. Long gone are any relevant skits of Obama at all. They are in total campaign mode for him by doing the negative work. You gotta realize some people who don’t pay attention to politics form an impression of people based on what they see SNL portraying them. Ever since Chevy Chase that’s what they’ve been doing. At least around election time. Once the democrat’s in office then they can do some mildly embarassing skits on them, but not until they get elected and the election cycle is over.

Uh-oh, somebody told Pelosi about the Declaration of Independence. She'd never heard of it before today.

She probably found this quote in it:
"He has attempted to deny our health insurance coverage by his government and render it null and void."

I'm quoting from memory, but I'm sure it's in there somewhere.

Pelosi obviously hasn't read the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence anymore than she read the 2,000+ pages of the Obamacare bill. She particularly missed one of the grievances made against King George in the Declaration:

"He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance. "

That pretty well sums up Obamacare.

I’ve heard it said that Sen Maria Cantwell is the dumbest person in Congress. Everytime I hear Pelosi open her yap, I know that’s not true.
