(CNSNews.com) - Mitt and Ann Romney "didn't know a single Republican" before Romney decided in late 1993 to seek the Republican nomination for a U.S. Senate seat from Massachusetts, Mrs. Romney told the Los Angeles Times in a story that was published on Oct. 7, 1994 and that is available now on the Times' website.

What - they were all married?
You sees a job opening, and you goes for it.
What about her father in law?
To the headline: not surprising.
To be fair, I live in CT, about eight miles from the MA line, I lived in MA for about ten years, went to school there, my wife works in MA and I regularly travel there. I don’t know any Massachusetts republicans either.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Massachusetts republicans basically stay incognito.
"Nonsense Ann, just keep smiling and pretend you are a Republican just like I am pretending to drive this car. Conservatives are suckers."

Yeah now it all comes out...
at least a bit more...
During a more recent 2011-2012 debate Willard Romney said that when he ran for US Senate in 1994 he didnt know who Ronald Reagan was...
How could someone who was living in the US from before 1980 not know who President Ronald Reagan was ???
Put that with his other revealing statement during a debate with Teddy Kennedy during that 1994 run when he said “I wasnt for Reagan-Bush. I was an Independant during the Reagan-Bush years.”
Yeah Ann Davies Romney finally told the truth on Willie Mitty...
He was announced as [Bain & Company's] new CEO in January 1991(but drew only a symbolic salary of one dollar). Romney managed an effort to restructure the firm's employee stock-ownership plan, real-estate deals and bank loans, while rallying the firm's thousand employees, imposing a new governing structure that included Bain and the other founding partners giving up control, and increasing fiscal transparency. Within about a year, he had led Bain & Company through a turnaround and returned the firm to profitability without further layoffs or partner defections. He turned Bain & Company over to new leadership and returned to Bain Capital in December 1992.
And during that time period, he never came across anyone who was a Republican?
This might come as a bit of a surprise to his father, George. Well, it would have if he were still alive.
Problem is that both these dopes are from MI. Do you really think they went through High School, Collage and Careers without running across one Republican? It defies logic unless they were intentionally circulating in Rat circles.
Are there any Republicans in MA?
Somebody please photshop a ROMNEY ‘12 written on an etchosketch.....

I don’t think she means they never met a republican. I think she means they weren’t friends with any. They were mere acquaintances as opposed to really knowing any.
Well ... I'm here.
We do tend to keep a low profile. Conversations can turn vitriolic pretty darn quick around here.
What about her father in law?

George Romney was playing both sides of the fence...
In 1962 he was running for Gov of MI and he wouldnt decide which party he was representing...
Finally the Democrats had had enough and they asked him point blank to choose a party and stick with it..
He got mad at the Democrats for daring to get in the face of the great over blown ego Romney so he went with the Republicans for spite...
However he didnt stay faithful to the Republicans and in 1964 when they wouldnt make him the nominee for POTUS he went with his Democrat buddies and supported Johnson with his money and influence against the Republican Barry Goldwater..and Goldwaters best friend RONALD REAGAN...
Ann was dating Willie Mitty when she was 15 and he was 17...
about that time George took her into his home to live so he could teach her personally about the Mormon religion since he had picked her as the future wife of Willie Mitty...
Ann had to have seen first hand all the drama and hatred of Ronald Reagan and the Republicans...
George Romney was so far left he should have been a Dem. When he was elected Governor of Michigan in 1962, it was a wealthy state with no income tax. By the time he left in 1969, it was well on the path to destruction.
I took it to mean they knew no republicans in Massachusetts. Clearly, growing up in George Romney’s house, Mitt had to meet a few.
$10 says they knew all the GOP-RINOs.
