The only thing they find “patriotic” is a slavish adherence to the Allinsky playbook and their own intellectual superiority. To them patriotism is a lock-step march to a socialist dictatorship, and any means justifies that end. Even (actually, it seems especially) lies and hypocrisy.

Not to take away from your excellent points, but I frequently notice the use of “Democratic party” and “gay rights”.
It’s as if we’ve been conditioned, nay, INFECTED with the left’s purposeful euphemistic language-fog.
Think about it. Aren’t homosexuals the real homophobes? By shunning the accurate descriptor, replacing it with “gay”.
