In general, atheists are pro-islam and they, like muslims, assert the superiority of islam over all things western. I'm sure you have heard (countless times) from ahteistic and secularist sources of anti-historical propaganda how "the islamic civilization was scientifically more advanced than primitive christian europe" and how "we have to thank muslims for the rebirth of science in the west" and how "the crusades set back the progress of science" and how "muslims invented chemistry and mathematics while europeans were mired in superstion" and how "the crusades was an unprovoked war of aggression against innocent muslims" and how "christians are violent and evil: just look what they did to the poor muslims during the crusades, etc, etc."
They have been saying this over and over and people today mostly believe these denigrations of Christianity and western culture.
So, in short, a vote for atheism is a vote for islam. Atheism is islam's loyal buddy.
“But really, I ask you: does doubting that prayer would do any good for Richard Dawkins reflect lack of faith in him, or lack of faith in Christ?”
It reflects my growing belief that he is such a committed enemy of God and servant of evil that we’d have almost as much effect as praying for the devil himself.
If Jesus didn't want us to love our enemies, He wouldn't have said, "Love your enemies."
And it's interesting if you look at the whole sentence: "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven." Matt 5:44-45
Love enemies and pray for persecutors, why? It doesn't even guarantee that they'll be converted. It says that it's so YOU may be a child of your Father who is in heaven.
Not only Dawkins' salvation is hanging in the balance here. Ours is, too.
