(CBS) – The parents of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin were joined Monday by civil rights leaders, including Rev. Jesse Jackson, who called for the arrest of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain who shot and killed Martin one month ago.
Jackson joined Martin’s parents, as they addressed the government of Sanford, Florida, to demand Zimmerman’s arrest.
Sybrina Fulton fought back tears as she addressed the city commissioners of Sanford, seeking justice for her son, Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed one month ago.
“I know I cannot bring my baby back, but I’m sure going to make changes so that this does not happen to another family,” she said.

The media calls Zimmerman “white”—they don’t want Latinos to think of him as one of theirs. He has a non-Latino name. Maybe if his first name was Jorge.

That’s what I read somewhere. Then the story was that his mother reported him missing and they couldn’t find him for three days. The cops had his cell phone and he had just called his girlfriend before the shooting.
Yeah, it would seem that someone who cared for him might follow up with, “Hey, where’s Trayvon at?” by going to the police station.
If you or I didn’t come home for three days, wouldn’t you think someone would try to find us right away? (Well, maybe you ...)
Complicating the matter was that he was staying with his father’s girlfriend (and what’s up with that?).
At the same time, why didn’t the cops call someone using his cell? Maybe they tried. Who knows?
I'd like to call for the arrest of all NBP members for aggression against a CITIZEN of the USA, and voter intimidation!
His father is Jewish; mother, Hispanic/Catholic.
