Trayvon Martin Investigator Wanted Manslaughter Charge
ABC News ^ | March 27, 2012 | MATT GUTMAN

The lead homicide investigator in the shooting of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin recommended that neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman be charged with manslaughter the night of the shooting, multiple sources told ABC News.

But Sanford, Fla., Investigator Chris Serino was instructed to not press charges against Zimmerman because the state attorney's office headed by Norman Wolfinger determined there wasn't enough evidence to lead to a conviction, the sources told ABC News.

Police brought Zimmerman into the station for questioning for a few hours on the night of the shooting, said Zimmerman's attorney, despite his request for medical attention first. Ultimately they had to accept Zimmerman's claim of self defense. He was never charged with a crime.

Serino filed an affidavit on Feb. 26, the night that Martin was shot and killed by Zimmerman, that stated he was unconvinced Zimmerman's version of events.

Zimmerman, 28, claimed he shot Martin, 17, in self defense.

Where was it written that Zimmerman was handcuffed? I read the police report and can’t recall that.

No, he was not arrested. He was detained for a while at the police station, but not arrested. In order to arrest him, they'd have to charge him with SOMETHING. But there was not enough evidence to charge him, so he was released, but they can still arrest him if new evidence comes to light.

Pffft, stop making sense.

"Zimmerman was not apprehending the individual in question, he was observing his actions and reporting them in real time to the proper authorities."

True story. A cousin of mine owns a convenience store. He was outside the store when a "customer" drove off without paying for gas. Cousin hopped into his car and followed, simultaneously on cell phone to police, relaying actions and locations.

Perp stopped and pulled his car to side of road. Cousin did the same...still on phone to cops. Perp gets out of car with firearm and heads for cousin's car. Cousin is also armed (and his father is "former Marine"....and marksmanship runs in that family....even the gals CCW and shoot).

Perp fires....misses. Cousin fires.....doesn't miss.....dead perp. No charges, cousin not even detained, weapon not confiscated.

I have no idea of the complexion of the perp, but anyone who would try to commit murder over the cost of a tank of gas is better off eliminated from whatever gene pool he came from.

Being handcuffed and taken to the station for questioning is being arrested.

No it is not, detained yes, under arrest no.

Police will handcuff and question individuals at their will and for "safety"

It does not indicate arrest or charge of a crime.

Hehe, love a good ending.

BTW, isn't this current group in the White Hut the ones who say "if you see something, say something"?

How can we good little spies for the regime if we're not following our fellow man and reporting his every move?

I love hypocrisy and contradiction.

Fox has been showing that photo as a current one of George Zimmerman. I don’t think it is, in fact, Chris Serino.

“A jury found OJ not guilty — therefore he didn’t kill his wife -— end of story. “

Actually, another jury found him guilty of civil crime, and fined OJ. However, since he was found not guilty by a jury in a criminal trial, he did not go to jail.

However, the physical evidence in the OJ trial was significantly different than in this case. Had OJ been white, he’d have been convicted.

Just fyi -

Next round was not chambered in the gun. Something interfered with the slide - like a hand holding it.

Odd - but again - as everything else - 100% consistent with Zimmerman version.

If they were both struggling with the gun would both of their DNA be on the gun? Would the gun have been handled in a way to preserve any fingerprints, DNA etc?

Might not be enough evidence to get a conviction, but if they get a grand jury to bring charges they will ruin him financially. This is just get whitety time folks. They (the media and politicians) have already destroyed this guys life, they want him dead without trial. The witness protection program couldn’t help him now

Just read the initial police report. There were six plus, witnesses: Three men, three women and possibly a minor.

Although they did not give the detail in the partial report they stated witness testimony was consistent with Z statement.

He said they struggled for the gun. Tray was shot at close range. Autopsy should show angle of gun when the trigger was pulled and how close it was when discharged. Only an analysis of the gun and body would determine how/who pulled the trigger.
