To cleanse the palate, this isn’t mega-viral yet but it’s getting there. Watch it now, because in a few days your mom’s going to e-mail you with the link and a note about how she hasn’t cried this hard since “The Way We Were.”

Just look at that little dog shivering in the trash. Shattering.

I’m happy for the puppy, but where’s our sense of proportion? While that rescue, makeover and sight restoration was taking place, how many innocent, helpless human children were destroyed?

One of the most dangerous locations on Earth for a human child to be, and it’s been true for quite some time now, is in its own mother’s womb!

“I’m happy for the puppy, but where’s our sense of proportion?”

For the duration of this thread it’s about the dog.

Tucker, with all due respect, this was a story about a dog being rescued from deplorable conditions. It is not a story about abortion, or murder, or child-abuse or adultery, or the other infinite number of bad things that go on on this earth.

Thanks for posting this, it was mentioned as an upcoming story on this morning’s news and I didn’t get to see it. Thanks for the tissue warning too, I cried for anguish at little Finona’s suffering and joy at her deliverance from it. God Bless those good-hearted folks who rescued her and those who became her new family. The world is full of so much suffering and anguish, yet there is still goodness and hope. And yeah, I will share this in an email.

Tucker,

I am very much pro-life, but a regard for God’s other helpless creatures does not have to exclude concern and care for babies.

And in truth, someone who abuses and/or neglects animals is often dangerous to other humans.

I’m glad this little waif is safe and has a new home, and I’ll continue to support both pro-life causes and caring properly for the animals we are appointed by God to steward.

Blessings,

Obviously you need a reality check. I am against abortion, but more against unplanned, unwanted conceptions. Abortion is wrong, yet innocent human life does not stay that way and there are many people who the rest of the world would have been better off without their conception and or birth. If we all had to make a list our lists would probably contain many of the same names.

As for the little dog, she deserved her rescue and no one should begrudge her rescue into a happier life because of folks who either refuse to do what is right and not conceive a child or choose to what is wrong and abort a child that could bring them and possibly the world much joy.

"It is not a story about abortion, or murder, or child-abuse or adultery, or the other infinite number of bad things that go on on this earth."

Those human conditions are largely manipulated by politics and leave most of us feeling helpless, even after tireless efforts to make a difference. When it comes to animals we can all make a difference that is immediately recognizable. My wife and I rescue dogs and in all honesty we find it more rewarding and productive that fighting the government to be able to do what's right.

In many cases stray animals get better treatment than the vagrants who live in the alley or the young girls who turn tricks so their pimp can buy a new ride and send some cash to Obama.

Thanks. I’m glad they found her in time. Being blind, she wouldn’t have had any chance of surviving.

GOO ON YOU!

My life wouldn't be the same without 'em ...

(especially when they are as helpless as these knuckleheads!)

I just noticed my typo. Of course, I meant "GOOD" on you for watching TV with your rescue pal.

My wife says that each time we make room in our home for a new canine they rescue us.

It looked like she was taking a little nap when the rescuers approached her. That was probably her little “safe place.”

Aww, I cried, too. It’s nice to see a story with a happy ending. In fact, I wish people would not post the stories about abuse on FR. They are so depressing.
