In the midst of recruiting an all-star ensemble for his long-gestating passion project “The Butler,” director Lee Daniels has tapped Jane Fonda to play Nancy Reagan.
Based on a Washington Post report by Wil Haygood, pic follows Eugene Allen, the White House butler whose career started with Harry Truman in 1952 and ended in 1986 with Ronald Reagan.
Forest Whitaker is closing a deal to play Allen, while Oprah Winfrey remains in talks to play his wife. David Oyelowo is in negotiations to play Allen’s son, while Liam Neeson and John Cusack are circling presidential supporting roles as Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard Nixon, respectively. Fonda will appear in a handful of scenes as the first lady of the United States.
Daniels, who is directing from a script he co-wrote with Danny Strong, is in the process of finalizing financing for the pic, which has no distributor onboard yet. Pamela Williams will produce through Laura Ziskin Prods. along with Hilary Shor.
Though no cast deals are in place yet, producers are eyeing a summer start date.

I read a comment by Debbie Schlussel that I thought was spot on about that HBO trash about Sarah Palin. Schlussel’s point was that the more people talked about the hit piece, the more people that tuned in to see what it is about.
The best way to see to it that the communist pig does not get an audience for this p.o.s. movie is to not mention it or discuss her role in it.

Up to and including the way the mainstream press zoomed in tight with their cameras as she was breaking down over her husband’s casket just before they buried him.
Hasn’t this woman been through enough, watching her husband slowly wither and die with Alzheimers and all?
Plus she is pushing 90. None of us would ever be this cruel to a prominent Lefty in her situation.
Whatever. Blockbuster needs another straight to video movie on its shelves to sit next to Road House 2, Ace Ventura Pet Detective Jr. and Inspector Gadget 2!

This is a slap in the face to the military, and to patriotic Americans. Instead of being charged with treason, the woman is adored by the left. To make matters worse, she’s attempting to portray a woman who is still alive. Nancy is approaching 90 years old. Hollyweirders must not want to see her have another birthday.
Must be the same casting director that cast Will Smith as James West in Wild Wild West!

Who will watch it? Conservatives won’t because Fonda is in it and Liberals won’t because it’s about Nancy Reagan. Who’s left?
Well, this can be remedied.
We’ve got some conservatives in Hollywood. Not a lot, but more than people might expect. It’s time to make “the Jane Fonda story.” It will focus on Fonda’s work in Vietnam. We can get Emma Caulfield to star. Very conservative actress, and just the right age to play Hanoi Jane back in the sixties.
Of course, we would also need to show the full context. The movie would show the torture of POWs and the downing of American aircraft using the anti-aircraft guns that Fonda posed on.
I think it would be a hit. “Act of Valor” already has sales that are five times the cost of the movie, making it a very profitable movie. Patriotic movies sell.
Oprah winfrey is to play the female lead in this “the butler” movie.

both of them are a guarantee of NOT getting my movie dollars.
If there’s not a lot of obscenities and soft porn in it, even the Liberals won’t go to see it. Maybe hardcore KOSkids and DUmmies, but that’s it.

They need to make a movie about Jane Fonda and show what a whore she is.
