Romney nails endorsements from George H.W. Bush and Florida Senator Marco Rubio

Mitt Romney trotted out a pair of big-name GOP endorsements Thursday to urge Republicans to close ranks around him — but his main rivals refuse to abandon their own White House dreams.

Romney received the blessing of powerful Republicans past — former President George H.W. Bush — and present - popular Florida Senator Marco Rubio — in a 24-hour span, further signaling that the GOP establishment wants the grueling primary process to end.

Romney even met with opponent Newt Gingrich over the weekend in New Orleans to ask for his support, but no deal was brokered, advisors to both men told NBC News.

Gingrich has vowed to stay in the race until the GOP convention in Tampa, but money woes have forced him to trim his staff and travel plans.

Even Las Vegas casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, who has largely bankrolled the ex-Speaker’s Super PAC, said Gingrich has reached “the end of his line.”

You know, I’m going to back ANYONE who
is up against TEH ONE but really...
you could almost hear Frank Sinatra songs in the background, a shaker of martinis being made and GW trying not to call Babs “Muffy”...

Wow! Mizz Barbra was on TheFive a couple weeks ago and endorsed the Mitt & Ann team. Now G..H.W. endorses. That means SO MUCH to me, seeing as how Mizz Barbra dissed Sarah Palin a few months back and on The 5 she waxed eloquent about what a great guy Bill Clinton is--such dear friends, doncha know?

All these people know is who went to Ivy schools and moves in THEIR social circles.

The Bush's have lost all credibility with me, and Mitt, the catalogue cut out never had any.--we used to play paper dolls with cut outs from the Sears catalogue because we lived so far out in the country and didn't have any money anyway. These cut outs were good looking, but flopped around as we played with them, having no spine. Slick and shallow, like GOP-e RINOS.

Only the elitist establishment could have screwed this up, putting out a liberal north east Gov as a conservative , the man who signed into law Govt health care, the man who has no problem with the queer agenda, queers in the military , a man who has wrote a check to the planned parent hood.

If the establishment thinks they can use our hatred of obama to push their elitist pro homo, socially liberal Gov onto us then they have another thing coming

Sarah and Col Allen West please no PLEASE STEP IN AND SAVE US FROM THESE ELITIST ARSE HOLES.

I’m hating the establishment nearly as much as the left right now.

I'm not surprised about Bush, but I'm disappointed with Rubio.

Unlike them, I'm not ready to concede to the GOPe and try to counter Obamacare with Romneycare. There is still much to be decided in the primaries, and if crap like this is all the current administration has to run on, we should be able to win with either Santorum or Newt. There is no reason to take the easy way out at this point.

IMHO.

But let’s all remember the most important thing is getting BHO out..../sarcasm.

I will not vote for Romney, I will not vote for Santorum and I will not vote for Newt.

It won’t be my fault if bho is reelected. It will be the fault of the GOP and the people who will vote for anyone with an r behind the name.

Bend down and kiss the hand of those who feed you, may your chains rest lightly upon you, and let posterity forget you were our countrymen.

The most important thing is saving the Republic. We won’t do that by electing socialists, socialists lite, or those who will compromise with them.

If BHO is reelected We The People MUST rise up and block the agenda by electing conservatives, PATRIOTS, to local, state and congressional office!

I wonder how much it co$t the Romster to obtain those two endorsements?

In my opinion, Rubio just ended his political career, possibly for a VP nod. But Romney's campaign will be ravaged in November. He will never be President of the U.S., thereby leaving Rubio to run back to the Senate.

Except that Bush signed the Rio Accord in 1992 endorsing UN Agenda 21 sustainable development further backed by executive order by Clinton in 1993. You’ve connected the dots.

The coveted G.H.W. Bush endorsement.

Likely the Bush from 1992.
