Rep. Paul Ryan endorses Mitt Romney
The Hill ^ | March 30, 2012 | Justin Sink

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) is expected to endorse Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney before Wisconsin's GOP primary next Tuesday, according to media reports.

Ryan would be the latest in a string of high-profile endorsements for Romney this week, as party leaders have increasingly coalesced around the former Massachusetts governor's campaign. The Wisconsin lawmaker would join popular freshman Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and former president George H. W. Bush in signaling support for Romney this week.

Really? A “considerable margin”? Reagan’s deficits, even adjusted to today, are nothing compared to W and Obama. His last three years in office had annual deficits around $150 billion.

Take out the necessary rebuilding of the military and his spending was comparable to even the Clinton/Newt budgets of the late 90’s when REAL discretionary spending actually slowed way down.

The ONLY thing that is missing with NEWT’S campaign is money!!!

And the evil one, Mitt, has it!!

WE CAN’T LET AMERICA BE BOUGHT!!

Newt spoke at georgetown university yesterday, a hastily put together speech and townhall question type format - he no longer has advance men who go and do set up and stuff like that. and he left the audience swooning... I mean swooning... one student said she wished all politicians were like Newt... and another said she was going to change her something or other - I didn't hear it clearly - so she could vote for Newt... this was georgetown... he had them in the palm of his hand...

You know his campaign in early may and june started on the campuses and social media.. He speaks to something in college students very strongly...

DON'T COUNT NEWT OUT...

If you call my opinion when replying to the thread, not you directly, “jumping all over me” then you need to get to the dermatologist.

Why try to agrue this isn’t yet another “hold our noses” moment as was the case in 2008, 2000, 1992, etc?

This is unfortunate. If Santorum wins the Wisconsin primary, he has a chance of denying Romney a majority at the convention. But if he loses there, it looks dire.

TBF,

The Feeney Book:

Feeney, get your book out.

Set down the name, the one Paul Ryan.

Feeney, have you written the name I gave you?

Well, strike a line through it.

That’s for him, Paul Ryan!

****************************

(Joining the likes of Demint, Drudge, Coulter, Tomney, nefarious Vichy GOP, and quislings)

Is Ryan conservative? Yes. Is he changing the DC culture by genuflecting to his masters- no! So, what the hell good is he?

Never to Romney!

I've seen you write this before re various unfortunate individuals... you keep excellent accounts. :) who's Feeney?

Oh, no no no... I didn't mean it that way at all. I just meant I knew I was asking a very provocative question, considering the makeup of this group, and I just thought maybe you could answer my question... and trusted you would..but I didn't want you to take it the wrong way... I didn't want you to think that I supported romney in any fashion except to vote for him if he is the nominee... and I will do that out of a sense of duty...

but my question was if he said that to rush and rush repeated it, and romney must know how powerful rush is, would he lie to rush? I have a problem figuring that out..

Ok? No harm intended... you just seemed sort of above the fray tonight... I am sometimes but not always... thank you :)

And thank you for the update. It's like a father teaching these students and, probably, things there never heard before. Things the 'self righteous' don't want to hear.

I really don't like the way ryan did it timewise... it was almost sabotaging the primary, but then I guess he and the GOP wanted ultimate impact...

I think you are a santorum supporter, and you must feel really betrayed, that Ryan would pick someone so weakly conservative, and I am sorry for that. I think Newt was hurt, also, because he had said nice things about ryan's plan, notwitstanding the MTP quote, and even called him a hero and likened him to Paul revere and being out front.. and Ryan even incorporated some of Newt's suggestions into his updated plan..

Man, it's like loyalty, principle, conviction are just gone from people who we thought were honorable. demint was a real surprise to me.

GOP MUST DIE

They did - they went the way of pro abortion, pro homo, anti-traditional marriage, anti-gun, appointing of liberal judges, socialistic big gov't healthcare. They are liberals now.

Feeney’s Book !!??? Surely, you jest. -:)

Even myself, a man of Italian ancestry, bows down to one of the greatest romance movies about Ireland of all time— “The Quiet Man” (John Wayne, Maureen O’Hara, Barry Fitzgerald, Victor McLaclen)

To the person who hasn’t seen it——”he’ll regret it til his dying day, if he lives that long.” -:)

TBF, get the cd-— you and our family will love it. Or else, I will have to put you in my book.

did you know Newt wants to teach a televised or online history course if he is elected.. can you imagine? Michigan, you didn't do your homework..

I think that's one of the reasons glenn beck hates him so much, so over the top, because he thinks he is america's history professor.

YES. I thought of that when responding about Georgetown. Now that I would enjoy! How appropriate when you think of it. The Conservative President teaching those who were robbed of our country's history - instead got liberal indoctrination in gov't schools. Mitt doesn't know cr@pola about AMERICA except how to take over companies to make a dime off of Americans.

GO NEWT!!

As long as their is an viable alternative to Romney that is on the ballot, there is some hope.

Yes I believe there is still hope, and that there is power in hope. And I don't plan on giving up on Newt; whoever you support, I hope you feel the same way about them. the GOP is really waging a war of discouragement and attrition among all the other things they are doing...

Look at them all fall in line.

We are called the ‘Stupid Party’ for very excellent reasons.

"Look at them all fall in line" - and right on cue. that's the discouraging part, the way they do exactly what they're told... these last few weeks have been really eye opening...

If what you mean by ‘faithful’ is ‘I want to dictate to everyone exactly how they should live their lives (as I interpret it via my faith)... so I will choose a politician that promises just that’; then yes, I was.

Looks like you need a serious reminder then about what this forum is all about...
