Gingrich: Romney 'is Clearly the Front-runner'

Newt Gingrich is acknowledging what has become increasingly clear: Mitt Romney is the likely GOP presidential nominee.

The former House speaker told Milwaukee radio station WTMJ Friday he thinks Romney "is clearly the front-runner." Gingrich said Romney "will probably" get the 1,144 convention delegates he needs to win the nomination, but added that Romney still has to earn it.

Gingrich has refused to leave the race. He said earlier this week that he would continue to campaign until Romney gets those delegates.

Gingrich's comments Friday were a turnaround from what he said after Romney's third-place finish in the GOP primaries in Alabama and Mississippi on March 13. Gingrich said then: "If you're the front-runner and you keep coming in third, you're not much of a front-runner."

Newt just undercut any credibility he had for running any further. He knows his whole theory about being relevant at the Convention isn’t holding any water. I do find it very curious that this big turn around in Newts thinking seems to coincide with his “secret” meeting with Milt.

I have no problem with Newt staying in. Will he beat Romney in any of the remaining states?

It sounds like he is coming out of the third stage of grief. I expect him to whizz through the fourth stage, which means we can look forward to an upward turn very soon.

You're full of it. You posted the article about Newt Gingrich's meeting with Romney wherein he refused to drop out! LOL.

Earlier Friday morning, Gingrich told WTMJ radio in Milwaukee that Mitt Romney is clearly the front runner and will probably earn the 1,144 delegates needed for the Republican presidential nomination.

Then he should weigh his options. I don’t know whether he hurts or helps Romney by staying in, so I’ll not advance any recommendation.

Because all the powers that exist unseen are behind him. Has anyone Googled “The White Horse Prophecy”? Has anyone read the God Makes? Does anyone know the CIA o’briens most of their agents from Brigham young University? Does anyone care that the NSA, the National Security Agency, is locating in Utah? Does everyone want to replace our Jude-christian sacred documents and trade our God inspired Re[public in for Theocratic communism?: Then there is time for you, too,l to endorse Mitt Romney!

"Gingrich: Romney 'is Clearly the Front-runner'"

MSM will now bestow upon him the "Captain Obvious" award...

Soon it will be official...

The choice this fall will be voting for a dyed in the wool Socialist wannabe or voting for genuine dyed in the wool Socialist!

Thanks for nothing G.O.P.

Full of what? Explain Newts total 180 on Milt today. It defies logic. Maybe the two camps came to terms last night or something but there was a marked change with Newt being nice to Milt today for sure.
