Conservatism: The White House sicced its meanest attack dogs, Media Matters and MSNBC, on Rush Limbaugh. But they couldn't knock him off the air. Their advertising boycott has failed.
Even the Washington Post admits the conservative talk-show giant has survived a monthlong crusade to cow sponsors and stations into dropping Limbaugh over intemperate remarks he made about a coed fan of ObamaCare.
"Stations are standing by him," the Post reported, and "advertisers are trickling back to his program."
Turns out the ad losses were far fewer than liberal Media Matters claimed in a running tally on its website.
In fact, virtually all of Limbaugh's long-term sponsors stuck with the show, in spite of relentless brow-beating by both Media Matters and MSNBC, which also works closely with the White House.
Of the 180 stations that carry Limbaugh, only two dropped him. And both are based in deep blue states, Massachusetts and Hawaii. Even the Beltway's top AM station wasn't cowed by the left-wing assault.

Wish Rush would release an ACCURATE description on which advertisers actually really dumped him, not just the hysterical, wishful thinking reports that we got during the drama. But he’s too much of a gentleman.

I made sure to listen to him even more. I’d slacked off a bit the last 2 years. So, I linked to the local station broadcast and listen to him while I freep.

I also quit while it was the Rick Santorum show. Now that he is on to the Supreme Court and Obama Care I am back listening.
Also, the libs quit hassling Limbaugh when the spotlight turned on Bill Maher.
Really, why would the left feel all those advertisers would be dumb enough to leave. Let’s face it most of the people who listen to Rush actually have jobs, make money and purchase products. And any company worth a damn does not want to piss off the right.
The only companies that really appeal the welfare left are beer, condom and cigarette companies and they do not advertise with Rush anyway.
But I can simplify the Left's analysis of folks, who disagree with them: "You're stupid".
Their deeper analysis is: "You're racist".
And that's as deep as they get.

You’re right. I think the reporter got confused. The fascists were trying to knock 180 of Rush’s 600+ stations off the air. They managed to get 2 of them to do that. The other 598+ knew that their competitors would JUMP at the chance of getting Rush, if he were to become available in their markets.
I bought Two if by Tea too.
