Former resistance fighter Lise London, the widow of Artur London who wrote "The Confession" about his 1951 Stalinist show trial, died on Saturday, aged 96, the French Communist party said Sunday.
Born Elisabeth Ricol in France in 1916 to Spanish parents, she joined the Communist Party young and moved to Moscow where she met Czech communist Artur London.
She married London before joining the International Brigades in civil war-era Spain and then the World War II resistance in France. She was arrested and sent to Ravensbruck concentration camp in 1942.

So, she remained a Communist all her life, but criticized Stalin for leading the movement astray. Oh, sure.
And she fought with the International Brigades in Spain, where they were busy murdering priests and nuns.
No, thanks. I have never seen that much difference between Stalin and Hitler, nor had much sympathy for the idiots who were caught up in either the Nazi or the Communist movements.
Trotsky would have been every bit as ruthless as Stalin, had he assumed leadership of the Soviet Union.
Socialism seems to be easily led astray...isn’t there anyone out there who can get it right?/sarcasm;)
George Orwell fought with the international brigades. He probably didn’t agree with murdering priests and nuns either...
As a fellow named Reagan once observed, “Communism only works in two places; heaven where they dont need it and hell where they already have it”
Orwell fought with the POUM militia not the Internationals.

Sickos ALL.
I stand corrected. They were still commies though...
