Report: Kutcher, Cryer offered two more years on Men ... but no raise!
Jobs will follow the Apple co-founder from willful hippie to running one of the most successful computer companies in the world. Matt Whitley wrote the script and Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) will direct the film.

...and therefore has to rely on good writing and/or good acting instead of star hype if it wants to succeed. I've had better luck watching indie flicks than any major studio release in recent years. No explosions, no need for 3D glasses, but some pretty decent movies.

A clueless mental midget playing one of the innovative giants of the twentieth century. They couldn’t get Woody Harrelson?

Agree... indies must rely on good writing and good acting. That’s the problem with a choice of Ashton Kutcher... the best writing in the world will not make up for his acting. Too bad.

Agree, Kutcher is the latest Hollywood pretty boy failing his way upward because of his looks - Keanu Reeves II.

A clueless mental midget playing one of the innovative giants of the twentieth century. Like Edison, Jobs was far more of a salesman than an innovator. And like Edison, he left wrecked lives in his wake - and not just support people who could be replaced, but actual inventors and innovators who were snatched up by other companies when they left Jobs in disgust. I know that scuffs the ole ipod, but that's the way it really was.

Agree, Kutcher is the latest Hollywood pretty boy failing his way upward because of his looks - Keanu Reeves II.I wouldn't even compare him to Keanu Reeves. At least Reeves steps out of character... from "Bill and Ted's..." to "Matrix", "Speed" and "Constantine". But Kutcher only acts one way... goofball (probably the same in real life). I saw him play a small role in a movie on TV the other night about the Texas Rangers (not the baseball team), and even as a cowboy he was a f#@^-up.
Wouldn't spend a dime to see a movie with him.

They are both innovative giants. To disagree with that regarding Edison is simply delusional.
Perhaps you have some kind of hair about Jobs but its hard to argue that the ipod and iphone were’t innovative.
I think the point that having a known hollywood doofus play him where this thread was more likely headed.

Why? It is still the highest ranked comedy on CBS. The other one about geeks is 2nd. I think it might be a good movie.
