With all the usual caveats about early polls in play, the generally reliably trending USA TODAY/Gallup Poll has seen a rather abrupt turn in the battleground states over the past month among one demographic. Women.

On good days: "all things being equal"

On impossibly bad days: "(" = ")"

The Dictator in Chief isn’t leading anywhere other than Hades, IMO.

I am absolutely convinced it will. Romney's lead is completely due to his strong organizational ability and skills. This is something that the McCain campaign was completely lacking. Money is also a drastic difference, compared to 2008.

As long as the GOP elites gets to continue to choose the candidates as they have in the past, they don’t care if they win or not.

They would rather lose to Obama than to give up control to the conservative wing of the party. IMHO

Control of the party is the most important thing to the GOP elites.

Well gee. I never said they weren’t voting for Romney. Those folks aren’t the conservative wing. In fact many moons ago, I posted here that Romney would win because it is his turn. He was a good boy and got out for McStupid. He did that for a reason and you see it now.

The GOP knew he may be a hard sell, so they didn’t want a quick process that could put someone else ahead really quick. But they did set it up so that the person who has the most money can nickel and dime it to the top while stacking up delegates in states he didn’t have to win.

Since Romney is getting most the votes that means he will be the nominee. So why keep trashing the others?

Most women I know dislike Gingrich (womanizer) and Santorum (self-righteous and arrogant) just as much. No surprise here.

We disagree. I think he can be beaten and beaten handily. THIS DOES NOT MEAN I SUPPORT ROMNEY. Newt and Santorum will not win, but both of them could have beaten Obama. Romney will have a tougher time of it because he is an a**hole, but he can still beat Baraq..

So, should I just stay home and not vote?

The situation is just intolerable.

Read the results closer. It points out that the main reason is because of the rhetoric Santorum is spewing, is giving these women the idea that Republicans will take away Contraceptives, abortion, etc,. (All of Santorum’s talking points.)

Absolutely spot on. All Republicans are being tarred by Santorum’s ignorant rhetoric. The sooner he’s gone, the better.

I agree with your assessment that good deal of our attitudes an outlook stems from our being “scared” of the Leftist machine. In this scenario, not only does this attitude embolden the Dems, but it's also wrong IMO!

I'll say again: How can Obama now be gaining strong support from women, when just a few weeks ago (heck last week) there is strong indications that he's still tanking with women? Also, if he's doing so well with women and the general public, why all the diversions?

Once again those of us on the right (Sadly many FReepers) are drinking the Leftist kool-aid and their bogus polling data. But hey, who am I to get in the way of another’s doom and gloom. Have at it boys and girls..the Dems thank you for your spineless compliance!

There is a thread running as we speak declaring we may not get control of the Senate.

Not that it matters. Obama will rule as he has been lately by Executive Orders.

He has to be replaced and all his czars and appointees need to be sent packing.

Santorum’s arrogance and pig headed ignorance, is hurting all of us. Including potential gains in the Senate and House. It gives the apolitical world a sense that the GOP is completely chaotic.

So yes, it does run down hill. It's time for all of us to get behind a solid leader and win this. Our very free lives, depend on it. NOW, not later. We cannot afford later.

Thanks.

I know I sound a bit harsh, but I cannot believe the Left has us conditioned to be so fearful and accepting of their bull sh*t!

Sorry, but this notion that women (with the exception of liberal hags) are all of a sudden supporting our Marxist-in-Cheif is complete and utter B.S.! I still cannot believe how compliant FReepers are to this crap!

Just wow.

IIRC this was a very small poll of less than 1000 people. To get these results they must’ve polled inside of the projects and college campuses.
