That being said, every once in awhile I stumble onto certain investment opportunities that fall outside these two realms. Recently it has become apparent that one such opportunity is in full swing, and that is in the world of firearms manufacturing. We are not talking about the military industries, but more the firearms made for the general public. Like them or hate them, one cannot argue that an investment in guns and the companies that manufacture them are making investors very happy. To validate the claim, consider the following two companies and their current stock prices.

Two American companies are cashing in big time on the fear created by Obozo and his armed thugs in our streets.

I believe that this just shows that the American people will not go down without a fight......and it won’t be pretty. The country has done this many years ago and it can do it again. We will not accept a dictator...........he’s got to go.

You are right, and he has to go.

No impeachment.

Defeat him from sea to sea like we did Jimmy Carter one of his mentors.

One of the sectors currently experiencing some of the most growth is the firearms industry. In January, background checks for gun permits rose 17.3% YOY. States that regularly report concealed carry permit numbers have seen increases in active permit holders ranging from 46% to 161%. This growth has not been sudden or abrupt: January’s numbers marked the 20th consecutive month of increases in gun permit checks and record gun sales numbers were evident in 2011’s huge shopping occasions such as Black Friday, which experienced a 32% increase in background checks YOY. Although multiple firearms may be bought after a single background check and a person may require multiple background checks for a single purchase, background checks provide a reliable rough estimate of the growth of gun sales. Moreover, other indicators of strong firearm sales also point to strong consumer demand. Federal excise taxes collected on the sale of new firearms and ammunition have risen 48.3%. Firearms company Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) received bookings for over 1 million firearms in Q1, which has led the company to suspend acceptance of new orders, expecting to “resume the normal acceptance of orders by the end of May.”

Guns, thriving in the economy of fear. Just don’t forget the ammo people.

There’s another downside to this also. I have been waiting 17 days for the result’s of my background check to come back to Cabela’s so I can pick up my new Ruger KSRO .40 S&W! This is BS!

17 days? Isn’t there a clause in the background check statute that speaks to a time frame? I thought if it didn’t come back in a certain amount of time (hours, not days) that you could take possession.

Good question, I’ll call Cabela’s tonight and ask. They did say it “might” take 3-30 days when I bought the pistol and filled out the paperwork. Perhaps 30 days is the magic number?

The people are bying firearms and ammo in record numbers because they know exaclty what Obama and his ilk represent...and they insticntively and historically know where it leads.

100 million people armed with something like 350 million wepaons and billions of rounds of ammo will withstand any tyrants efforts, particularly when over half of the regular military and an even higher percentage of the National Guard will side with those people.

Bozo & his incitement to violence is just one of the many things that people are assigning as the cause of the general anxiety that they are feeling growing in their minds.

Most/all people are sensing an impending “big event”, but most don’t have any clue what to pin it on.

I’ll even go so far as to attribute bammers’ increasing radicalness on HIS sense of the coming “shift”.
