He’s losing to Ron Paul in many states. Why can’t these people face reality?

I love me some Newt. But he blew his wad in the late ‘90s and should have run earlier. His new “looks like a blow up doll” wife is so rigid her hair spray looks natural.

What really gets me, and yes I focus on crap, is that only once he decided to run this cycle he debunked the “he served divorce papers to his dying wife” story with true facts.

Why did he wait so long? Does his ego not even let him understand the so-called historian in him that should have known Mark Twain’s line about the truth not getting it’s pants on before the lie travels around the globe?

This, to me, implies bad judgement beyond his past issues.

Did Newt run simply to keep his career going?

Run for president. Get beaten terribly. Write more books about Conservatism in America. Make more $$$.

Why and how could he cede NC to Newt? Giving the “standard” 2/3 of Santorum’s strength to Newt moves Romney to 1st and Newt to 2nd. That does not help anyone.

And go to the Moon and build a colony there without any tax/government money.

No, don't touch the moon.

Ditto. Newt can do no wrong as far as I’m concerned.

About a year ago Ann Coulter claimed that Newt told a certain play-acting candidate (our favorite Ma-Ma Apple Pie) that the best way to sell books is to run for POTUS. And magically she appears to endorse him after he said he might appoint her as his VP candidate.

That's lots of books for both especially if Obama gets re-elected.

Vin, Rick will not admit that. Newt has reached out to him, and Santorum told him to go fly a kite. Looks to me like Santorum is on schedule for VP or Cabinet position if he hangs in there to split the conservative vote for Romney’s benefit.

This is why it is so hard to take the Newt supporters seriously anymore.

There have been 3 polls taken in North Carolina in March. Gingrich is 3rd in all three. In the average, Santorum is beating Gingrich 29.7 to 16.3.

Only a true Gingrich supporter would claim that Santorum should CEDE a state he is LEADING in to the guy who is in 3rd place, and think that actually makes sense in the real world.

I’d say Gingrich should cede Pennsylvania to Santorum, but with Gingrich in single digits, it probably wouldn’t help all that much.

Newt Gingrich took less than 6% in Wisconsin, coming in 4th. He is not a viable candidate. He is not a serious candidate. You don’t get consideration at the convention by losing almost every state by double-digits, or skipping every state for a “southern strategy” that wins you only two southern states, one of which is your home state.

If the convention is going to pick people who did a lousy job of winning primaries, why wouldn’t they just pick someone who skipped all the primaries. At least they are already marked being unable to get people to vote for them.

If Romney not winning half the delegates proves he is unelectable, Gingrich winning virtually nothing proves that he is extremely so.

Go Newt!

YES! He has the right stuff and all the right people on his side. January 2013 will mark the restoration of America when President Newt Gingrich leads the Conservative Rebellion against socialism. And...I can't wait for $2.50 gas!

It’s just going to be Romney. That’s how the math is working out. Time to belly up to bar and figure out how to deal with it. . . . .

_____________________________________________________________

Sometimes the truth really hurts. So how do you deal with it. I’m not an “anybody but Romney” guy but I would sure like to have some way to force Mr. Romney to be conservative. I think there is a more than even chance that Romney would beat Obama. If Romney becomes president what do we do to get the most out of him?

I think Romney is a good guy and probably knows business but doesn’t know squat about how to play with Democrats, they will always get the best of him. How can we get control of him, Ryan? Please tell me there is a way to keep him from selecting liberal judges. Please tell me there is a way to investigate to see if Obama was qualified to be POTUS and if not undo everything he signed.

Newt goes in late and expected the world to worship him. Reagan started way before campaign season. Romney is showing us the way it will be done in the future. Romney went and helped a lot of good conservative politicians who helped him when his turn came. The conservatives that stood by him didn’t do it because Romney was wonderful, they did it because they owed him. It is all just business to Romney, Romney knows business.

Since South Carolina, Newt has done almost nothing helpful for Rick Santorum. His PAC attacked Santorum, his biggest monetary supporter going so far as to say that if Newt fell apart, he’d move the pac money to support Romney instead of Santorum.

Newt only won Georgia, and did so in a way that gave more delegates to Romney, and fewer to Santorum, by running robocalls not against Romney but against Santorum, pushing Santorum just below 20%, locking Santorum out of the statewide delegates and therefore giving 4 more delegates to Mitt Romney.

In Alaska, a caucus where Gingrich could have instructed his followers to vote for Santorum (like Huckabee did in West Virginia), Gingrich did not, and while taking a few delegates, cost Santorum a victory and gave a lot more delegates to Romney.

And Gingrich, by failing to compete in states where Romney was strong, allowed Romney to win by larger margins and collect more delegates. That is the most interesting statistic to collect if you want to see how well Gingrich is “helping” Santorum vs ROmney — compare the Gingrich percent of the vote in states won by Romney, versus the states won by Santorum. You’ll be surprised at what you find.

Speaking of coming up for a world of hurt, did you happen to catch the CBS evening news report with Scott Pelley on Mitt criticizing Obama’s speech? It looked designed to make Mitt appear to be the nominee already, showed Mitt walking up to the microphone stiffly, but not in those stupid-looking jeans and shirt outfit this time, and stuttering and awkwardly missing the mark in his criticism, apparently afraid to seem to go too far or offend Obama supporters. Maybe CBS edited it that way, but it just seemed so weak, even strange.

Yeah, ng. You’re right as to Santa and his guys. But, in the end, I doubt romney gives him any thing-— maybe, the invocation at the convention.

I didn’t say Newt HELPED Santorum, only that he reached out to Santorum and was rejected. I believe those reports, and I bet you do too.

Newt knows a Santorum candidacy is an impossibility with Romney there, and Newt knows Santorum would lose to Obama by more than even Romney. And, a Romney-Santorum ticket will not unite the party either.

Elect a conservative Congress. If you fail at that and the libs took it over in 2014, forget it. Romney will claim it's what the public wants and rubber stamp everything the Democrats give him. And in 2016 don't even think about giving him a primary challenge unless you want the full crushing weight of the GOP to come down on you.

The media SHAPES the election outcome by conspiring to IGNORE the conservative candidates. Giuliani was totally ignored early in the 2008 election. The media sabotages conservative candidates and are getting better at is with each passing election. Add Gingrich to the list.

Polls consistantly show that Newt loses to Obama by more than any other candidate. The last set of polls showed even Ron Paul would do better against Obama than Newt.

What's done is done. I'm not even going to pay attention to any more of it until the convention. What I do know is, in the way that KenyaCo bypasses every other elected or appointed body in the country, there's probably a way to yank the frigging broadcast licenses of every alphabet network regulated by the FCC. None of them serve the good of the greater public anymore - it's like some media Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. Just call me Miles Bennell.

"As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their hearts desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

“Romney will have 1144 bound delegates by the time the convention begins.”

If its Rom I will not even watch the convention or be involved in the election like normal.

I will sit out, may vote, but not sure.

Will be stocking up on survival supplies and hope we can take the house.
