The debate about climate change and its impact on polar bears has intensified with the release of a survey that shows the bear population in a key part of northern Canada is far larger than many scientists thought, and might be growing.
The number of bears along the western shore of Hudson Bay, believed to be among the most threatened bear subpopulations, stands at 1,013 and could be even higher, according to the results of an aerial survey released Wednesday by the Government of Nunavut. Thats 66 per cent higher than estimates by other researchers who forecasted the numbers would fall to as low as 610 because of warming temperatures that melt ice faster and ruin bears ability to hunt. The Hudson Bay region, which straddles Nunavut and Manitoba, is critical because its considered a bellwether for how polar bears are doing elsewhere in the Arctic.

Don’t you just love their way of performing “deep thought” studies that support their agenda?
Such things as heavy thoughts, possible that may happen, I was told by (fill in the blanks), maybe, if, suppose that, it was the hottest day since 1903 (what the hell made 1903 hot back then) and a whole host of assumptions and conjecture that is part of our “junk science” crowd supported by academia.
Now, they are shocked by the possibility that the polar bears are having a “field day” basking in so-called climate change.
I guess we have Coca-Cola to thank for this “increase” in the polar bear population.
No global warming of Gaia, too many polar bears—what is a watermelon to do??????? BExt ti will be no peak oil....er, wait a minute....
Is Algore weeping in joy, or just enjoying spending all the cash lying about polar bears got him?
That is BS. The only problem that the bears have is the up to 10% cull rate (legal hunting plus poaching) per year. Other than that, they are doing better because the unfrozen season in the far north is very short and the lengthening by a couple weeks is beneficial. Northern bears are the bellweather (warming is good). OTOH, Hudson Bay bears are not apropo of anything. The ice disappears earlier there so they adapted (still considered threatened).
Here's a chart of the populations: http://pbsg.npolar.no/en/status/status-table.html
I can see the bears waving to them from my roof!
They’ll throw out the actual count and go with the estimates, as the actual count is an outlayer from the fact of global warming, which they hold to be self-evident.
I do not believe they are “confounded”. They are greatly disappointed in that their lucrative positions and income are totally dependent on the ability to cry DOOM and GLOOM.
A healthy and self sustaining BEAR (or anything else) population is a clear and present threat to the doom sayers.
So many bears so little ice, that will be their next cry.
The only way the liberals can exist is by programming of the youth at an age before they have interest in news from the outside world, for instance in grades 1-6 and then work towards controlling any news available to the public in general. This they were successful in doing until the advent of the computer age and the Internet.
It may not seem like it but the left is losing ground and at an ever increasing pace and they are losing it to the truth, a truth they can no longer hide. This is the reason we are seeing more and greater violence and harsher rhetoric from them. They know what is happening and like cornered rats they are desperate. The problem is their violence and hatred have become the face of who they are rather then the message of who we are.
Blacksmith shops?
Where can I get me a huntin’ license?
The response will be that an increase in population is consistant and expected with warming.
How can they tell just by looking which polar bears are healthy? Shouldn’t they be going up to each one and taking his or her temperature?

Oh Da*n! I should not have fired up the old coal forge last year! No wonder it was such a hot year here! It will be hot here again this year! I fired up the forge two weeks ago and the weather went warm!
I bet that Peter Wright really rings on that metal stand. I would call that a wildcat forge.
