Responding to criticism from the left-wing watchdog site Media Matters, Fox News Channel management says it addressed a mistake by a news anchor who asked her Twitter followers to weigh in on a claim by an insider in Hillary Clintons 2008 campaign that the Obama camp threatened Chelsea Clintons life if her parents exposed what they knew about Obamas presidential eligibility.
Weekend and early morning anchor Heather Childers distributed the message with a link to a blog that picked up on a WND story that featured a video interview.
In a statement to the website Mediaite, Fox News Senior Vice President Michael Clemente said: The tweets have been addressed with Heather and she understands there was a mistake.
Childers has not replied to a WND request for comment.
The WND story cited Hollywood producer Bettina Viviano, who claims that it was a common belief inside Hillary Clintons campaign that Obama was not eligible to be president. The charges of Viviano and others connected to the 2008 campaign are now being investigated by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaios Cold Case Posse, which is probing Obamas eligibility for Arizonas 2012 ballot.

So you believe the truth is that the Obama camp threatened to kill Chelsea Clinton if Hillary exposed his true birth certificate?

Heather, Sarah and Greta could start their own news network and put Fox out of business in a week.

Boycotted? I say dismantled. They are nothing more than propaganda agencies for the coup d’etat that is Obama.

I don't understand what the "mistake" is. There is supposed to still be freedom of speech in this country.
How is asking people's opinions about anything a mistake?
By squashing this Fox News you are contributing to the conspiracy of a cover up. If the story is not true, why bother addressing it unless you have been 'told' not to talk about it.

Heather Childers just
played the whole MSM and
especially her own bosses at FOX!
Nobody in the media can say any longer that they're not aware of the issue or the importance of it.
The Tell - More attention is being paid to her actions than the story behind her actions.

When it could cost you your broadcasting license, or your very life, it's a mistake to ask questions about certain things, not just any thing.

So how is Fox going to play this when it all unravels... because clearly this story is not going to die... so how are they eventually going to save face? It’s only growing. Read about the latest sheriff to question Obama’s credentials at WND. I think he’s from NJ. Sheriff Joe is not the only one.

So this is where we’re at. Media Matters effectively squelches Fox news about a controversial news story involving the candidate Obama and allegations of death threats, and all the Freeper houndogs come out of the woodwork to comment on the anchor’s pretty legs. Maybe we actually deserve four more years of Obama.

I absolutely agree with you. This is a big story that will have legs. I wish FOX would get back to their conservative bent and quit trying to placate the libs. Pretty soon FOX’s faithful following will follow no more.

It’s like we live in the Soviet Union.
What is with all this attack on reporters for politically incorrect reporting? It’s sick. They should be ashamed of themselves for cooperating with management on this interference in the reporting of new facts. Whipped, unprofessional idiots.
In the meantime, liberal racism and the incitement of race violence is fine and dandy. What is wrong with these soulless zombies?

...so how are they eventually going to save face? They shouldn't try and "save face". Don't announce it ahead of time and just
come out with the whole story...told to shut up, lived in fear for years from threats (business and personal), out of line to punish employees...and say
we won't live in fear any longer!
And they need to do it before friggin November!
