Why I no longer hate Israel
Ynet ^ | 4-8-12 | Romeu Monteiro

I’m a 22-year-old Portuguese gay activist and PhD student. I’m not Jewish, Israeli or even religious, but I am a Zionist and strong supporter of Israel, and I want to explain why.

My story begins at nine, when I went to the school library to get the Diary of Anne Frank. I had no prior idea about the Holocaust and I could not comprehend such persecution. I had never met a Jew, but I was raised to see other people as similar to myself.

The book’s story haunted me: This girl, slightly older than me, hiding for years, confined, isolated, being persecuted for who she was, constantly fearful of being discovered... How horrible; how could this have happened?

A few months later, I discovered I was gay. I was 10 and in Anne’s attic: Confined, isolated, hiding who I was, fearing what would happen if I was discovered...

Shortly after, the second Intifada started. I began seeing Israel, a country which I knew almost nothing about, on the news constantly, for the worst reasons. I learned that the Jews had invaded Palestine after the Holocaust to get a country and were occupying and controlling the native Palestinians who lived in the remaining land.

...ping...

This greatly confused me and I asked him to present me with his arguments in defense of Israel. I said I would change my mind if they were convincing. He wrote me a long message, telling me about the massacres of Jews in Palestine before Israel existed, the wars of extermination, and the indoctrination for hate of Jews and Israel in the Middle East, among other things, which he compared to several examples of the humanist character of Israel and its society.

I read it all and, after verifying the information, I was convinced...

I tend to believe this is what he learned from the Leftist media and propagandists before he learned the truth.

” I found myself in love with Israel, something I never thought I would do and never really want to be.”

He learnt a lot - the above is from the article - the abridged version in the post gives the wrong impression - pkease read it all, the boy makes a lot of good points.

Cheers

I agree. And he finally learned. It is a shame the billions of other Muslims and liberals on this planet won’t.

Gotta wonder he "discovered" it himself, or whether an older acquaintance or "family friend" led him into the notion.

"I’m a 22-year-old Portuguese gay activist and PhD student."

Sounds like the opening line of a really shi++y call into a talk show.

What a screwed up little fag, trying to twist the Story of Anne Frank into his own in order to affirm his perverted behavior.

Typical fag, his life revolves around his sexual behavior and he’s looking for affirmation.

Anne Frank didn’t have a choice.

With gay men, that's true in >50% of all cases; maybe 25-30% are physiologically "hardwired" gay (Irving Bieber study, 1950's and 60's, pre-PC). With women, it's true of more than 90% of lesbians. That's why homosexuals of both genders pursue youth -- get to them first, and pervert them for life.

And never mind the consequences for the kid.

red6 has this right, Sodomites try to justify their perversion in many ways so they can ‘feel’ normal. Like the ridiculous notion of ‘marriage’. Justifying is a coping mechanism, otherwise it eats at them from their soul.

Neither did you. You didn't even finish reading the article.

Here, lemme clue you in:

I just hope he’s ready for all the crap he just brought onto himself. The Pallie’s Socialist friends, and there is a lot of crossover in those groups, are not going to be pleased at all. Deviation from accepted political positions is not tolerated.

His Jewish friends had better make a point of trying to keep him safe.

You quoted what I said without the particular sentence I was commenting on. Why so quick to extrapolate that to tell everyone that I didn’t read it?

The particular part I cited is the most lied about ‘ fact ‘ of all. It deserved my comment.
