Protesters supporting Trayvon Martin shut down the Sanford Police Department on Monday after they barricaded the doors in an act of civil disobedience, The Orlando Sentinel’s Rene Stutzman and Bianca Prieto reports.
“The city of Sanford hopes the actions of the students will be as peaceful and orderly as the previous rallies and marches have been,” City Manager Norton Bonaparte, Jr. said in an email to the Orlando Sentinel. “We want to be accommodating to all our visitors proving they act in a manner that is respectful to the people of the city.”
Members of the US Department of Justice are also monitoring the scene.
The shutdown of the Sanford Police Department is the brainchild of the Dream Defenders, “a coalition of college students from across Florida who have marched and protested against the handling of the case by police.”

Civil disobedience? It sounds more like mob violence from here. And why the police department? Wasn’t there a hearing do determine whether Trayvon Martin’s death was wrongfully brought about? If the DA had instructed the police to arrest George Zimmerman I’m sure they would have complied.

Ordinarily, yes, and you are quite correct. But I was recently disabused of that faulty spelling and pronunciation by the grandiloquent Reverend Al Sharpton while he was holding forth on MSNBC regarding the race-baiter’s news find of the decade, the Thugvon Martin case.
He very distinctly called them - repeatedly - “skillets,” so who am I to argue with such an august personage as he?

Sharpton says here that Zimmerman was not under "life extenuating" circumstances. IWO, Sharpton is admitting here that Zimmerman's life WAS in danger, LOL!

Why do we seem to allow fools like Sharpton to get all bent out of shape whenever they perceive unfavorable stereotyping, yet they personify and perpetuate it themselves?
