A couple points:
1) Whatever I have thought of Romney, I have never and do not now believe that he despises his country and it’s founding and is actively trying to destroy it.
2) One constant I have seen in Romney’s past is that he wants to do and be what he must in order to win. At this juncture, thankfully for us, what will win now is conservatism. If Romney has to be the most conservative ever to win, that he will be. I’d look for him also to pick a strident conservative for VP.
3) Finally, remember that God Himself used a jackass donkey for His purposes and spoke through him. If you think he can’t use MR, think again.

Yep FOX worked in their attacks on newt with the GOP, once their attacks worked they have done their best to ignore him but boy did they do a job for Rick when he never won any county in NH, then SC, then SC and his daughter was sick then and what a great job they did for their RINO
