So the trick is to not say you will, just to do.

Or how about: “why is this idol different than all idols we worship? For all the other idols, we don’t dip into our pockets even once, but for this idol, we dip at least twice. For all the other idols, we get what we get, but for this idol, we get flattened like matza. For all the other idols, we promote other green projects, for this idol, only the projects that embitter the taxpayers. For all other idols, we either sit up as if we’re moderates or lean to the left, but for this idol we must only lean to the left.”

I’m on a roll tonight. Here’s more:

“We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt with universal health coverage and fleshpots, leeks and garlic and fish that we ate for free, and everything. But then that mean-spirited interloper Moses came and stirred up trouble, and took us out in the dessert for forty years because a Bush told him to draw us into his risky schemes. Afraid of people who are different than us, we allowed him to bring plagues down on the heads of those piece-loving African sun people, and clung to our spears and Bibles in our indifference to those less fortunate than ourselves as we joined the unemployed and relocated to the aforementioned dessert without an extra six months of unemployment benefits. Then Moses used a cheap ventriloquist trick to make us think that some Supreme Being was talking to us from a mountain, and we murdered three thousand innocent golden calf worshipers and the indigenous Amalekites we met on the way...”

So the real 11th plague is the terminal stupidity that infects the electorate. Obama may or may not be gone on 20/1/13, but the plague will still be there, even if in remission.

'Fraid so.
What is MORE scary is that THIS country is the best in the whole world. Imagine living in some third world sewer. WE are the lucky ones, not smart, necessarily, but lucky.

With deep sadness, I have come to the conclusion that the Republican party would rather have Obama in than someone that would REALLY put an end to corporate welfare and the DC gravy train.
Obama is far less frightening, than, say, a Palin or a Paul or ANYONE that would say the government (you and I, the taxpayer) should stop financing connected people’s wealth.

True. You don't have to look very deep into the Dem strategy of frightening people (elder, welfare, etc.) to see how well scare tactics do work.
I used to sneer at the Dem strategy of taxing the wealthy COMING FROM Dems like the Kennedys. THEIR wealth, OF COURSE, like other wealthy Dems, would somehow be protected.

I think the GOP would love a Republican Obama. Santorum is gone now and I know I can't vote for Bishop Romney, future leader of some distant planet. How can I vote for ANY person who believes that kind of garbage?

The ironic thing is that some of those less fortunate third world countries have rulers who acknowledge G-d's laws and oppose homosexual "marriage."

Yes, they do. It is ironic.
I sometimes believe that WE Americans think we know all the answers and that OUR system of government is the best for everyone ELSE.
I don't think our system of government WOULD work for some of those "less fortunate third world countries" OR those oil-rich countries whose cultures are sometimes called "backward" by us--not me or thee necessarily, but by others.

When Moses split the ocean, it caused untold environmental damage, and for forty years we were fed nothing but high carbohydrate manna which was artificially flavored to taste like anything we wanted, except for leeks and onions. Then we entered the land of Canaan by splitting a river, causing even more environmental damage, and annihilated all the indigenous inhabitants, destroying their rich culture of Baal worship, bisexual orgies, and human sacrifice.

If he didn’t take us out of Egypt, it would have been enough for us.
If he had to take us out of Egypt, but at least didn’t confiscate the Egyptians’ money, it would have been enough for us.
If he had to confiscate the Egyptians’ money, but at least didn’t split the ocean, it would have....

But if His Majesty The People don’t smarten up fast, America will be a third-world hole.

If this is the face of modern American Judaism, it may be time to rethink religion. Although, if my father-in-law’s Chasidic sister is any indicator of that part of the religion’s feelings towards the Kenyan interloper, we may have hope. What she says about nObama makes some of the FReepers here sound mild! Then again, she and her family barely escaped the Nazis in ‘37, and her husband has the tatoo on his arm to show that he was one of the fortunate survivors, so they have first-hand knowledge of this stuff.

I really think I must polish these fragments and turn it into a finished manuscript. It just might be a saleable idea: The Politically Correct Hagada.
