Allen West: Half the Democrats in Congress are Communists By Daniel Strauss - 04/11/12 10:24 AM ET

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) says he's heard that almost half of all the Democrats in Congress are secretly part of the Communist Party.

He offered no names or proof of his accusation.

West told almost 100 Floridians in Palm City on Tuesday that "he's heard" as many as 80 Democrats in Congress are members of the Communist Party, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The freshman Republican, an outspoken conservative and Tea Party favorite, is a longtime critic of the Democratic Party.

At the same event, he charged that President Obama was "scared" to meet with him.

"I really wish that, standing here before you, was Allen West and President Obama," West said, according to the report. "We could have a simple discussion. But that ain't ever gonna happen."

West has been mentioned as a possible vice presidential pick for the 2012 Republican nominee. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley ( R) called him a "good" choice. Sarah Palin has also spoken highly of him.

West said on Friday that he would join the presidential ticket "if it was the right fit."

"The focus is, of course, being a good congressional representative,” West said in an interview with CNN. "But if someone were to make that call to me, which I really doubt is ever going to happen, you would have to make sure that it is something that God would ordain for you, and you’d have to talk to your wife, my wife and my two daughters about. But we have always stepped up to the plate to serve our country. And if it’s the right fit, then I will do so."

There are a few reasons. Arrogance is one. A humanist worldview is another.

If you really want to understand the mindset,
read Swartz’ “You can still trust the communists to be communists”.

Here’s one showing the Democrat fondness for Van Jones;

Senator Klobuchar (D-Mn) 2009
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goTYOjh2q9M&feature=related

Klobuchar “As Van Jones has said, who is a guy who has written a book about the green collar economy, when you think about the green economy, don’t think about Buck Rogers; think about joe six-pack putting on a green hard hat. Think about Rosie the riveter manufacturing solar panels and wind turbines. This is President Obama’s plan — jobs, jobs, jobs.”

Anyone who doubts this (people can quable over the number) need only study up on the New Left that took over the Party after 1968. They were the street fighting Commies (some raised as Red Diaper Doper Babies like our bastard child of a president) who rioted outside and inside the 1968 DNC convention. Their ilk have infested journalism too.

If a Democrat was not a communist, how could we tell?

Would they vote for them, though, if they said “I AM A COMMUNIST”?

No, but they’ll vote for them if they say “wealth redistribution”, “helping the poor”, or “I’ll make sure you’re taken care of by the government”.

That’s the argument I make that simply infuriates my lib-in-laws...

“OK, fine, let’s say democrat X isn’t a communist. How would their policy advocacy be different if they were?”

In other words, if libs claim they aren’t communist supporters, they need to explain how they KNOW they aren’t communist supporters.

“Call a commie a commie, and if they object, make them defend why supporting communist policies doesn’t make them a commie.”

Absolutely correct.

One cannot be a Democrat without being a communist, an islamist or an idiot. There is no other possibility.

These DSSA’s (or whatever they have are going by these days) are nothing new - I remember seeing the same list of commies at least as far back as 1998 when I joined FR. Jesse Jackson Jr., Marxine Waters, “Pete” Stark and the list goes on and on - they’re a cancer that has been with us for a helluva long time.

Just ask them to name ONE country on earth with a Communist leadership and a Communist system which is prosperous and stable!

To the contrary, the remaining Communist countries are (have always been) struggling and unstable.

THAT'S the road “O” wants to take us down.

This is supposed to be the ‘information age’ and yet most people don't know or care to know the basic facts about exactly how destructive and dehumanizing Communism is.

The historic record (not to mention current events) consistently bears out just what an abject mistake Communism is where ever it has been accepted by citizens or has been forced on to the unfortunate people of any country. It AIN'T privileged information... just have a look at a map or a history book.

What is more, as so many E. Europeans (and others) from Communist countries now live in America, all you have to do is ask one of THEM to make a comparison. THEY know the difference and wouldn't go back for anything.

Not too long ago, our neighbors had relatives who were recently made US citizens. They were from E. Europe. We drove them to the super market when they arrived. The gentleman (father of the family) stood in front of the produce counter and cried. He had never seen anything like it and couldn't believe his eyes!

When Glenn Beck started his show on FOX he spoke of good democrats vs marxist democrats.

As I think back over my long life (born in 1943), the last good democrat that I can recall is Martin Dies, Jr. of Texas.

He was instrumental in uncovering Communists via the research of the Dies Committee, which later became the HUAC. He was also noted for his attacks on Franklin Diablo Roosevelt's "New Deal", which Dies initially supported but ultimately realized that it was 100% Socialist. Dies also was among the first to expose FDR's Henry Wallace and his henchmen as Communists. Congressman Dies, of the Texas 2nd, was a stanch opponent of the CIO (which later united with the AFL), a union goon outfit comprised of Communists and fifth columnists.

Martin Dies' district is now represented by a solid Christian Conservative, Ted Poe, shown here:

The political “middle” has lurched Left even if the nation as a whole is ideologically to the right of the “new center” among politicians.

Maybe because the "moderate" swing voter faction that both parties fight over has lurched left. The rest of the electorate is completely polarized - right vs. left.

Names?

A good starting place would be most of the membership of the House’s Progressive Caucus.

Actually, at this point I would like to see someone introduce a bill to outlaw communism in the US (essentially re-introducing the communist control act of 1954) - labeling it subversive. Force the leftists out in the open to defend their philosophy.

Romney will absolutely not pick West as veep running mate. Too outspoken and may offend “moderates” (this in Romney’s view).
