Allen West: Half the Democrats in Congress are Communists By Daniel Strauss - 04/11/12 10:24 AM ET
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) says he's heard that almost half of all the Democrats in Congress are secretly part of the Communist Party.
He offered no names or proof of his accusation.
West told almost 100 Floridians in Palm City on Tuesday that "he's heard" as many as 80 Democrats in Congress are members of the Communist Party, according to the Palm Beach Post.
The freshman Republican, an outspoken conservative and Tea Party favorite, is a longtime critic of the Democratic Party.
At the same event, he charged that President Obama was "scared" to meet with him.
"I really wish that, standing here before you, was Allen West and President Obama," West said, according to the report. "We could have a simple discussion. But that ain't ever gonna happen."
West has been mentioned as a possible vice presidential pick for the 2012 Republican nominee. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley ( R) called him a "good" choice. Sarah Palin has also spoken highly of him.
West said on Friday that he would join the presidential ticket "if it was the right fit."
"The focus is, of course, being a good congressional representative,” West said in an interview with CNN. "But if someone were to make that call to me, which I really doubt is ever going to happen, you would have to make sure that it is something that God would ordain for you, and you’d have to talk to your wife, my wife and my two daughters about. But we have always stepped up to the plate to serve our country. And if it’s the right fit, then I will do so."

Guilt. Some of the yuppies have allowed themselves to be guilt tripped into hating themselves. The thing is, the lengths to which the enemy is stretching the truth is horrific. In Russia, the serfs or former serfs WERE starving. Russian youth WAS being used for cannon fodder. All they can do here is continue to try to blame the president that had a good economy for the record of the president with the bad economy. They always conveniently forget that Clinton left W. Bush with a nice little .com bust that he had to deal with THEN 9-11, and by reelection he had things back on track and humming along nicely. Nicely enough that he was even getting votes from independents who didn’t much care for his policies, because they knew he would do what he said and say what he would do. The other guy was clearly recognizable as a flake.
Thanks for the tip but at $115 I will have to skip this book. Darn it.
Someone earlier said that this would disqualify West for a Veep slot because it is “extreme rhetoric”.
I would welcome seeing some MSM “journalist” ask him if he “REALLY meant that half the democrats in congress were communists [I mean, really, isn’t that absurd?]”
and he answers “Yes, I stand by that statement, and I’d challenge you to tell me why someone who supports communist policy should not be referred to as a communist”.

There are some if not many people who no matter how much they have, little or much, will believe other people owe them the life style of their desires.
I’m beginning to really like this guy.
You may have a point.
The malaiable moderates get too much of their daily “news” from Time-Life-CNN, Viacom-SeeBS-Comedy Central, or ABCGBLT-DisneyESPN.
They don’t realize they are being lied to daily by the “reporters”.
