FOX host Sean Hannity confirms off-the-record talk with George Zimmerman

FOX News host Sean Hannity confirmed on his show Tuesday night he had an off-the-record chat with someone he believed was George Zimmerman.

The neighborhood watchman's former legal team announced they would no longer represent him because the 28-year-old had ignored their calls and said he had reached out to Hannity and special prosecutor Angela Corey on his own.

On his show, Hannity said he wanted to "set the record straight."

"For a few weeks we have been pursuing an interview with Mr. Zimmerman to give him a chance to tell his side of the story," the host said. “Now yesterday I was contacted by an individual that we in fact believe was George Zimmerman.”

"We spoke on the phone about his case, and I agreed not to report on the contents of that conversation. That's it."

I think he might be getting some attorney advice on the quiet on how to conduct himself. And that attorney might be Jose Baez — if Zimmerman is lucky. Baez is Hispanic and is almost certain to be interested in Zimmerman’s case.

Maybe Zimmerman gave Hannity some information to be revealed if something bad happens to him at the hands of the New Black KKK or the (in)Justice Department.

Zimmerman's conscience is driving his actions. He is seeking to unburden himself to someone who will listen.

Maybe he told Hannity the truth of what happened that night

... what was the point?

There is a rumor swirling around that Zimmerman has taken a powder (out of the country), and maybe he wants some influential member of the media to know he's still around.

I am beginning to believe that George Zimmerman is starting to crack under the pressure and is making critical errors in judgement. He needs help, from people who believe in his side of the story. I’m sure that he deeply regrets taking the life of Trayvon Martin but he was placed in a position where he felt threatened and acted upon it. The fact alone that he has been tried and convicted in the MEDIA with out a trial would be enough to anyone over the edge. He really does need help.

The only pressure on Zimmerman is from his conscience on his taking an innocent life and not being truthful about it.

The weight of all those prayer vigils all around the world is bearing down on Zimmerman. Let us hope he does not take his own life.

He can run but he cannot hide from the truth about what REALLY happened when he shot an unarmed person.

It is on his mind.

Zimmerman dis not take an innocent life. He defended himself from the brutal onslaught of a brutal thug.

Having a name like Travon and being negro is not a defense

Oh, I see it’s you again. Yeah. Tell me, should Zimmerman be executed by firing squad, drawn and quartered or dance at the end of a rope?

It’s assumed you want his cracker head on a pike....

He was all hung up on Zimmerman continuing to “pursue” Martin after being asked not to. Which we now know that Zimmerman did STOP following Martin.

You seem to forget that Zimmerman had not observed any crime and had no reason to leave his car and follow Martin in the first place.

Don't get it twisted

You are the one getting it twisted. Zimmerman reported Martin acting suspiciously, and left his vehicle to maintain visual contact so that police could find Martin when they arrived. There is no law against “leaving your vehicle”, and any reason for doing so does not have to be approved of by Rooivalk.

The fact that none less than the president of the United States came out publically against him and whipped up the race hatred of millions of people and refuses to order his Attorney General to prosecute people who acted on the presidential influence to put a bounty out for his murder, should - clearly - deny ANY use by the prosecutor of ANYTHING George says or does because of clear and overwhelming duress.

Do you have a source or a retraction for the allegation you made in this post?

Those are YOUR words not mine. It is your side that wants to exonerate Zimmerman of any crime because you have made the judgement that Martin was a "criminal" and a "thug" who deserved a bullet.

But you seem to forget that there are two sides to this shooting and unfortunately Martin is dead. And his side of the story died with him that night

Fortunately God saw what happened that night and his justice will stand supreme in the end.

There is this little thing called a conscience. And my guess is that Zimmerman is learning that he has one.

And when you add the fact the federal government, the Dept of Justice, no less, is coming after you and ignoring an open and active death threat against you, you can imagine the pressure is unbearable.

He has no one in authority actually doing anything to protect HIM. He has no one looking out for his life and family.

Imagine the pressure when you know the federal government is doing nothing to protect you and your family, that the federal government wants you dead (and your family), and mob rule is the law of the land.

Our nation is lost when the law comes second to mob rule and politics.

My allegations mean nothing in this case. It is now Zimmerman and his conscience that have to make the decisions.

Zimmerman knows what he did that night. And since neither you or I were there that night when he decided to leave his vehicle and set into motion a chain of events that resulted in an unarmed youth laying dead in the street, he will have to explain to Almighty God why he did what he did.

Seems like that realization is weighing heavy on him

Does that have any bearing on what Zimmerman did that night? Just asking

I've seen nothing of the kind. Nobody thinks he should be exonerated if the evidence shows he murdered somebody. We'd just like to see some evidence before he's lynched. If you were a rational person (a leap I am not prepared to make), you would want that too.

Yours is the side that wants a rush to judgement and execute the man without benefit of facts, so take your silly straw man and go home.
