Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!

No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!

NO ROMNEY!!

Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!

Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!

We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!

I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!

FUMR!! FUGOP!!

Long live the rebellion!!

Hope my message is clear.

Ha! Romper Room, no. In this instance, it's a place where your political enemies come to laugh at your boorish, unhinged and might I add, anti-social behavior. How do I know this, because it's exactly what a few of us would do from FR for laughs after each election in which a Republican would win.

“Well, the election is over and we won. Time to go over to DU and engage in some schadenfreude.” Good times...

Stop acting like a tool and focus your energies toward something positive. You don't know it, but you are embarrassing yourself.

The GOP backing Romney is bewildering and inexplicable unless you are willing to entertain the possibility that the GOP establishment has the same agenda as the Left in this nation.

Unless someone can explain this entire bizarre Republican campaign to me, I'm going to have to go with what my gut tells me - that the GOP establishment is on the same page as the Left - that they want the same outcome as the Left - which is the destruction of this nation as we know it.

Preach on brother!

Free Republic is the home of the Revolution to end “establishment Republican rule.” Conservatives of many stripes have been consistently ignored by the “insiders” that wanted our vote, but never our opinion or values. This has ended. IF the GOP wants to have any possibility of salvaging our support....the need to shut up and start listening....plus follow through and do what we tell them to do. We ARE the BASE. Loose your base, and the party folds. A good start would be for the GOP to have an open convention and pick another candidate than Romney. Someone at least somewhat acceptable to all sides. However, that candidate needs to be picked by the base, not party insiders or country club republicans.

Would Romney have canceled the F-22 program?

Defense spending as always been political and will not change...they cut, they spend, they move funding around. However, Romney didn't get his facts straight on the F-22 Program as follows:

"Romney Misstates Timing of Obama Defense Spending Cuts on F-22 and Ships"....

http://mobile.bloomberg.com/news/2011-11-23/romney-misstates-timing-of-defense-spending-cuts-of-f-22-ships

and here Romney was wrong:

Romney’s court appointments were disappointing in Massachusetts.

There is the problem of mittens. With mittens the gop-e will pass the nominations through to the Supreme Court and America and our children lose. Should a Conservative not emerge and pick the nominees for the Supreme Court, the court is lost. With a rebellion there is a chance, though it may be slim to none to stop zer0 with a republican held Senate. Maybe / Maybe Not. With mittens the Supreme Court will go the way zer0 would send it and the republicans will willing go hand in hand with the myth of mittens (imho America is at a lose / lose moment without Americans stand up and say NO).

If you think that 'our country's future is at stake', then the choice should be obvious!

Yep...that would be Newt Gingrich!

I agree that Palin was far too coy, and that her hesitation and lack of clarity weren't helpful. At the same time, I just assumed she'd done the math and figured the media had scarred her too badly for her to be able to run. That's my opinion. She would have been a great candidate, but she would have been an already injured candidate before she even began.

I blame the candidates themselves (conservatives) for slicing and dicing each other and for not figuring out which one stood the best chance. Apparently the GOP-e can agree on a candidate. They operate knowing that conservatives can't. Therefore, the split vote belongs to conservatives who ran. Some should have stepped aside MUCH SOONER.

Next, I don't think the GOP is salvageable. I believe it is a wholly owned subsidiary of groups that have been writing its rules for so long that they have fireproofed it from takeover. Tea-parties, reform groups, firebrand leaders — none will be able to shake the hold the old guard has on the GOP. It is best to abandon that failing house and build another.

Finally, I don't want Obama or Romney. I honestly think that one is as bad as the other, so in that sense defeating Obama is not priority one. Priority one is defeating both of them. If Romney is permitted to continue his charade as a conservative, he will ruin the brand name for generations.

It is necessary, therefore, to have true conservatives in rebellion, so that his foolishness is exposed for the future as the liberalism that it is.

How will we do that? By voting for conservatives wherever we find them no matter the letter beside their name.

I know Obama supports partial birth abortion. I know there is a chance Romney won’t. I know Obama will nominate Justices that support abortion. I know there is a chance that Romney won’t. One is probably the most radical abortionist President in history. One has the muddled record typical of a New England Republican, but he will still be constrained by a political party that sides with life.

That is enough for me and frankly it does not seem like a difficult decision.

Pretty much the way I see it. Obama's court appointees WILL be bad. Romney's court appointees MIGHT be bad. Willard's history of court appointments is terrible, but he would be beholden to the national Republican party as President rather than the ultra-liberal Massachusetts GOP. As Levin says, I'd vote for an orange juice can over Obama.

Thank you for saying it. I think most of us here know it is better to keep up the fight than to surrender to the GOP-e. They need to learn that only a conservative candidate can win and maybe then they will stop forcing these “moderate” candidates on us.

I’ll be voting third party this november.

“You do realize that only 30% of the populace at the time of the Rebellion(1776) supported the war effort? “

You do realize that the conservatives of 1776 fought for the King and wanted to hang the Founding Fathers?

Jim,

I agree wholeheartedly with your premise. WE have been screwed over long enough by the RINOs.

However, I find that I cannot not vote for president. It seems to me that the majority of the country simply has to be against Obama. I like the vote solid Republican down-ticket of your plan. I've always done that anyway.

It seems that it would send a message to both the RINOS and the enemies of America that if Obama does return to the White House, that at least he do it with a minority of the popular vote.

So I guess my question to you is what 3rd party or candidate would you recommend? I'm trying to make up my mind, and your opinion would be welcome.

I try to keep up but must confess that I have failed.

I see the term “gop-e” used abundantly in recent posts but somehow missed the introductory definition.

What is a gop-e?

you guys have taken this fantasy to such lengths that you even try to talk like the founders. Talking like them however, doesn't impart to you their wisdom.

You didn't even attempt to answer the question. Instead you impugn the question itself and assert that rebellion to the Ruling Class and their chosen standard bearer for us is a 'fantasy'.

So for you, bluntness - since Romney is as you said, 'even an enemy to Conservatism, some of us consider that no different than being a domestic enemy to the Constitution. The Left, including RINOs work to subvert the Constitution for their stake in power over us. They hate us as much as the Left does, and consider us some kind of extremist threat. Why should we get along with that? Why should we Conservatives support that? Why are we stupid enough to support those who clearly are disgusted and embarrassed by us? Out of fear those who hate us more openly will win again?

Let's recognize they (meaning Romney and his Ruling Class RINO ilk) are our enemies same as Obama's Marxofascists. They are allies in all practicality - why must we pretend otherwise when the fruits are self-evident?? They all need to be defied, and acted against as we would any enemy come against us. No support. No compliance. No submission.

Openly defying the document like Obama has done and subtly defying and circumventing it is no different, except in degrees. Romney's record is not only one of subversion to the Rights to Life, Liberty and Happiness, he will no doubt continue the assault on the Constitution, albeit with more subtlety than Obama's overtness.
