There are so many of us in this country feeling the same exact way. I can't stand Romney but I am scared to death of Obama getting another term with nothing to lose.
We have nowhere to turn. I understand the venom for Romney and the RNC. I feel that venom too. (How the hell can a true Morman be pro-abortion and gay marriage?? He is a phony!) But my choices are limited and I can't live with myself for staying home on election day. I doubt JimRob and the rest understand what a corner we are backed into.
Here is where I am.
Romney = 85 chance he will e a disaster.
Obama = 100 chance he will advance communism and collapse.
I am voting based on that 15 percent and nothing more or less.
Problem with that line of thought is that it guarantees the establishment will always pick a rino. As you can see, the guy with 25% most of the time is the presumed winner because we all know that people will hold their noses and vote for him eventually.
Only against Obama does someone like Romney even have a chance of getting the votes of conservatives. But since the overlay of counties he has won in primaries is eerily similar to those won by Obama in 08, what chance is there that the rino or hold your nose voters in those counties will outweigh the honest D voters in the real contest?
And should he win? The benefit of slouching more slowly to Gomorrah is what? My children and grandchildren, in addition to paying our fiscal debt, have to fight with that many fewer supports, people who understand what Freedom was, or armaments (should it come to that)? The corner that I see is destruction now, or destruction later, and our children may not have the financial, political, educational, technological, or martial freedom to win.
This could all become moot, as the other side keeps trying our different “wars” - the war on the 99%, on women, on blacks, on... - to see which one will light the powder keg. My honest feeling is that barring a third great awakening, which includes a serious reconciling of all these fragmentary groups, we will not see much longer as a nation, regardless of who wins the next election, if we make that far.
My write in may not stop the encroaching flood, but it may help control when the dam bursts and the direction of the flow.
OK, enough of the “Stay Home” stuff.
I do NOT recall Jim Rob saying “Stay Home”.
But voting FOR Romney is out. Vote someone else. Deny the winner, ANY winner a plurality, a majority, a mandate. Vote for the Constitution Party Candidate. Write in Sarah.
VOTE DOWN TICKET. This is indeed a fight. Deny them Congress. Fight for the White House. Newt is still VERY VIABLE.
Pray. Alot, without ceasing, as it were.
