“Instead of blaming conservatives for an Obama reelection...”

Only if they refuse to vote or vote for Obama.

Obama is an out and out divisive leftist who holds positions contrary to ours on everything,

So explain why Boehner has done nothing, to stop him. Do you really think no one in the GOPe leadership knows anything at all about him?

I am nearly dumb, not stupid.

I’m still voting for Newt in the NC primary next month

Great! You are doing the BEST you can right now. And if you can round up plenty of $upport for him in NC - you/we may not have to be concerned about the top of the ticket. I say keep doing the right thing and see what happens. As we never know what will transpire.

You need to understand that conservatism does not equal GOP by default and GOP does not equal conservatism by default.

It is simply arrogance on your part to assume that I do not understand this. Nothing more, nothing less.

"You wake up, idiot. I am not going to vote for an abortionist liberal progressive! Period!!!"

OK, I believe you. Does that mean you just aren't going to vote? Or would you do a write in? Either one is the same as a vote for Obama.

I feel your pain believe me. I was really hoping for Newt but it's not going to happen. It's going to be Romney.

We need to support Romney so the country will live to fight another day. If we win the Senate and hold the house we can start right away fixing the damage done by Obama.

Why wait another 4 years just to say we stuck to our principles? What if we end up losing the congress 4 years from now?

The country may not last that long. Obama must go NOW!!

“Romney has not been pushing a conservative platform in this election”

Romney is a known liar and will say whatever it takes for Republicans to vote for him. Appearantly his words work on you.

Romney 2012 - Weak- Slavery - Poverty

No that is Obama's slogan.

Romney's is "Not as Weak, Not as bad Slavery and Better Poverty" Me-Too-Republicanism.

I’m so sorry for my tardy reply to you. You’re always so very kind to me.

I think you’re the one of wisdom.

I take solace and glean my hope and strength in prayer.

Prayers and praying are my candle and I believe they’re yours, too.

Anything and everything is possible through Him.

Not sure yet, if that includes politics, but may God help us save our Republic!

But whomever is our candidate I will vote for him/her.

'Our candidate'? Many make that mistake...this is a CONSERVATIVE website; not a Republican one. There IS a difference.

Either one is the same as a vote for Obama.

No, it isn't, and it needs to become a bannable offense to push that myth.

I will agree with you, and happily so. There will never_ever be a vote for ANY liberal coming out of me. Not gonna happen EVER.

It seems to me that the only thing that could cause a person to vote *FOR* someone who stands against every principle the person believes in would be, at it’s root, the very same cause that prompts appeasers anywhere:

FEAR.

And if fear is behind one’s actions, one should examine whether one is conservative at all.

The primary is over. I supported Santorum, he dropped out. Newt hardly won any. Not everyone agrees with Jim Robinson here, and you’re just helping Obama win reelection now.

I have come out of my self-enforced retirement to point out what I believe to be facts.
Fact 1. The next President will be either the Democrat(sic) nominee or the Republican nominee.

Fact 2. Obama with be the Dem nominee, barring an act of God such as a heart attack, etc.

Fact 3. Anyone who does not vote at all, or who votes for a third-party nominee will be helping Obama get re-elected. (I still remember Perot.)

Fact 4. I do not support and have never supported Romney. I’ve supported almost everyone else (Palin, Bachman, Cain, Santorum, Gingrich) until they, one by one, dropped out.
I still have hope (’tho fading fast) that the convention will not be able to nominate Romney on the first vote, and that delegates will then be able to negotiate for someone else.

Fact 5. Anyone who encourages others not to cast any vote for President will be helping to re-elect Obama.

Rush Limbaugh has said that Obama could be defeated easily by any of the Republicans [who *were*] running. This is one of the rare times I disagree with Rush. I think Romney will have trouble defeating Obama, even if conservatives support Romney.

However, if Romney gets lucky and is elected President, it’s my hope that, if we can elect enough true conservatives down-ballot, a Republican-controlled House and Senate will be able to largely neutralize Romney and keep him from doing too much damage.

Therefore, I urge Freepers, from oldest to newest, to *Stop* advocating that we not vote for the Republican nominee, whoever he or she turns out to be.

I believe the 2012 election will have blatant voter fraud on a scale never before seen in America.

Anyone who does not vote for the Republican candidate will be helping the Progressives to stage a bloodless coup from which American will not recover in our lifetimes.

Please, everyone, ...no matter who you are...please STOP telling people not to vote for the Republican nominee.
