GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Trayvon Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, and older brother, Jahvaris Fulton, 21, were in New York City on Thursday for an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper, not thinking they were going to visit Madison Square Garden the following day. But New York Knicks All-Star Carmelo Anthony had a surprise invite awaiting the family, which included Martin's younger brother who's three and a half years old. Anthony met privately in the Knicks' locker room with the family and posed for pictures before New York's 103-65 win over the Washington Wizards on Friday night. Fearing additional media attention, the family did not stay for the game. Anthony said Martin's death struck a bigger chord with him because it made him reflect on the passing of his sister, Michelle, who died from a pre-existing medical condition in December 2010. Anthony now remembers Michelle while he's playing by having her name stitched on to his sneakers. "(It was) a blessing, an honor," Anthony said after Knicks' practice on Saturday morning in regards to meeting the Martin family. "We all know the tragedy that happened and just to get in a different space of mind right now, just bringing them to not even the game, but to the locker room in the back, meeting all the players, meeting the coaches. That was the easy part. We had no media there. It was just something that I wanted to do. "I lost my sister last year, so I know what it feels like, even with his little brother. He didn't even want to come to the game, didn't even know what was going on. He wanted to go see 'The Lion King,' but just for them to be there, that meant a lot." Anthony, along with many players in the NBA, recently have shown

Cash in, baby!
George Zimmerman took the young black kids he was tutoring to see Dwight Howard.
If this was me,I would still be grieving and never stop.I just don’t get this.
Make money money, make money money!
I’m waiting for their visit to the White House.
The fame! The lights! The celebrities! Yeehaw!
I love idiotic writing from the 30 IQ dolts at ESPN.
So New York Knicks All-Star Carmelo Anthony had a surprise for theTrayon family, producing Martin’s younger brother who’s three and a half years old.
Did mom know that Carmelo had Martin’s brother?
Why not?
Where did he come from?
What’s the young lad’s name?
Why didn’t Martin tell mom about his brother?
How about pop? Is he upset that Carmelo produced a brother for Martin and didn’t tell him?
It’s all about getting back at the “man”
Trayvon’s family better get ready. Like all Democrat tools, they are about to get thrown under the bus BY THEIR DEM USERS.
I wonder if Trayvon’s mom has ever had a job, with this wide spread of children. There are probably a lot of them between the 17-year-old and the three-year-old.
I want to know what Hillary Rosen says about this.
Sitting around waiting for the check and not creating anything of value. Aborting large amounts of their future populace and generally becoming the socialist zombies that the bureaucrats in charge can easily control.
They control education, economy, armed forces, recreation, information and with their play on the church and health care... your soul. I want the Martin family to be at every NBA game up to and including the finals. I want all the NBA players to start wearing hoodies. That way the public can see where they stand in society and how it's all a scam.
I used to watch the NBA back in the 80's but it's just wrestling. The NFL is heading that way, which is good for me. I can quit making excuses for my Dallas Cowboys' owner being a douche-tard.
Anywho, this article wants to make me hurl.
And ESPN's Jared Zwerling has the writing skills of a 6th grader (did ESPN fire all its Editors?).
There’s no evidence that Trayvon Martin was doing anything except walking back to the house where he was staying and minding his own business. Whatever happened in the missing minute or so that only Martin and Zimmerman seems to have witnessed and the girlfriend heard - who started it, what started it, etc. - is anyone’s guess.
But the root cause of the whole episode is that a guy decided to follow another person just because he thought the other person looked suspicious. Zimmerman created his own problems.
