President Barack Obama, speaking for the first time about allegations that Secret Service agents hired prostitutes, said Sunday that "of course I'll be angry" if those accusations are proven true by an investigation.
Obama said the agents represent the United States and are supposed to conduct themselves with the highest levels of dignity anywhere in the world. "Obviously, what's been reported doesn't match up to those standards," Obama said in a news conference wrapping his appearance at a Latin America summit.
The president never directly mentioned that the specific accusations, confirmed by media outlets, that agents were cavorting with prostitutes before the president arrived in Colombia.
The Secret Service sent 11 agents home and placed them on leave for misconduct as the agency reviews what happened.

Colombia is a country that is a major source country for trafficked women. organized crime is running everything and it’s a big problem. Colombia is a big destination for foreign child sex tourists.
hooking up with “prostitues” in these poor countries there is a pretty high chance you are actually committing rape.
Someone ought to explain to President Girly Man that real men, his Secret Service agents for example, have excitable little hangy down things even though Mr. Prez does not.
Didn't Bill Clinton use the authority of his office to "have" women?
Did John Edwards re-direct some campaign funds toward covering-up an affair with his gf (while his wife had a terminal illness)?
I'm not excusing the SS or military allegations, however it would seem that if true, in an apparent weak moment the lads were merely behaving like Democrats, n'est ce pas?

I am glad the wives of these SS men know that they go to prostitutes. Not only is it totally disloyal and breaking their wedding vows, but they can bring horrible diseases home to their wives. They were found out!
I’ll wait to reserve judgement...if proven true, someone messed up bigtime.
On another note, I went to the CBS link to read the entire story...and on the right hand margin an ad banner appeared...”Pet Lover’s for 0bama...are you in?” with a picture of the first Dog and the 0bama-Biden tag. Is this desparate or what? Gave me a smile on a Monday morning...
This is getting pathetic. First the GSA now the SS. Deflection away from Obama. If he really gets tough with those agents they might squeal on him. I don’t buy their story, there is more to this. Wouldn’t it be funny if after trying to get the eligibilty to stick, all the crimes this guy has committed as POTUS, that he gets brought down by a sex scandal. That would be hilarious. He is self destructing before our eyes.

...An author of a book about the Secret Service said that the scandal “is the biggest scandal in Secret Service history.” The Secret Service protects presidents, presidential candidates, former presidents and dignitaries visiting from other countries. Mark Sullivan, the director of the Secret Service, said in the 2010 annual report, “I am proud and honored to lead this elite team of professionals — special agents, uniformed officers, administrative, professional and technical specialists — who personify our motto ‘worthy of trust and confidence’ every day.”

After Patriot Act was signed into law in 2001, the Secret Service was given the responsibility of investigating “electronic crimes.“ Several of the Secret Service’s “Most Wanted” fugitives are accused of “identity theft.” Other suspects have been arrested for “identity theft,” among other “online” crimes.
“Then why are members of the Secret Service not investigating the image presented to the public on April 27, 2011 as Obama’s “birth certificate” which has been declared a forgery by an investigative team from Maricopa County, AZ? Why are they not investigating Obama’s use of a social security number from Connecticut when he allegedly was born in Hawaii? The Secret Service has purview over the investigation of “forgery” and “computer fraud.”
...”On March 17, 2009, LCDR Walter Francis Fitzpatrick, III accused Obama of having committed treason by allowing U.S. Army troops to deploy and operate on the streets of Samson, AL under the direct supervision of General Martin Dempsey, who is now chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Two days later, Fitzpatrick received a visit from two Secret Service agents..”
