Yep. Santorum was our one (imperfect) chance to stop Romney but Newt siphoned off just enough conservative votes to cost him Michigan and Ohio which would have been game changers.

Get real...everybody knows the only thing that jetted Santorum after Iowa was the media push they gave him under the direction of the Romney team and that with Pauls help.

They all know Rick and it doesn't take much to fire up his ego...they lit it and off he went somehow believing he could win...and those in the know knew this was a set up. Santorum 's gaffs over and over and over again were the laughstock to many democrates but they loved him none the less...even voted for him crossing to the other side.... So you've got to be nuts to imagine Rick was ever seriously being considered by the heavy weights....Rick will always and forever be their go to man to play the role they give him...nothing more... It was that way In pa....and it's been that way in Congress.
