Ted Nugent Stumps for Mitt Romney at NRA Convention: “Chop their heads off in November” (VIDEO)
Right Wing Watch ^ | Josh Glasstetter

Posted on 04/17/2012 6:31:51 AM PDT by Beaten Valve

Washed up rocker and reality TV star Ted Nugent appeared at the NRA’s national convention in St. Louis. Nugent, a longtime NRA board member and regular presence at conventions, rallied the NRA faithful on Saturday to vote for Mitt Romney: “Your goal should be to get a couple thousand, per person who’s here, to vote for Mitt Romney in November.”

Nugent called President Obama a criminal and denounced his “vile, evil America-hating administration” which is “wiping its ass with the Constitution.” Taking it a step further, he said that “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.” “If you can’t galvanize and promote and recruit people to vote for Mitt Romney, we’re done,” he continued.

Supreme Court justices also came under assault by Nugent, who claims that the court’s more liberal members have signed a declaration against Americans’ right to self-defense: “We’ve got four Supreme Court justices who don’t believe in the Constitution. Does everyone here know that four of the Supreme Court justices not only determined you don’t have the right to keep and bear arms, four Supreme Court justices signed their name to a declaration that Americans have no fundamental right to self-defense.” Nugent concluded with a call to cut off the heads of Democrats in November: “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?”

Don’t think Palin will ever endorse Mitt before the nomination. If afterwards is different.

The governing edict from Mt. FResno is "No Romney! No way!"

It says nothing about any "nomination", which is getting to be pretty much a formality at this point anyway.

Ted Nugent, Bill Cosby, Jim DeMint, etc, etc, etc, all good men mislead by the "facts" presented to them. If any of them visited this forum regularly, their eyes would be opened.

My take is that Cosby is a lying, racist, leftist fraud.

Nugent and DeMint, on the other hand, seem to me to be at least as conservative and well-informed as the typical FReeper-in-good-standing.

I just keep in mind that if Newt had a chance then Ted probably would have endorsed him but it seems more of a priority to Ted just to get rid of the Communist-In-Chief Obama.

Can someone photoshop Ted's head on Fonzy while doing the shark jump?

Sorry Ted, but you can't polish a turd. Willard is more of a squish in RKBA than either Bush or McCain were. Worse since Willard is the only one of them to have actually SIGNED a permanent AWB into law...

heroes? A drugged out rocker who probably bopped a thousand underage girls is a hero??

He always claims that the has never used drugs. I haven't heard him say anything about the girls, though.

FYI, the Nuge is quite famous for abstaining from drug use.

He was right there in the middle of it all and just said no.

There is much else about his personal life that disqualifies him from being a hero, but Uncle Ted is no doper.

“Calling those who refuse to support the most liberal governor in the history of the republic deranged is a tactic that has worked in the past, but is much less likely to do so now. And frankly, it’s the mark of someone who probably isn’t going to be around here much longer.”

I don’t “support” Romney (I contributed to and voted for Newt), unless the alternative is directly or indirectly re-electing the most COMMUNISTIC, deliberately destructive president in the history of the republic. There are huge doubts about what Romney would do as president. There are NO doubts about Obama other than “my God, how much worse will it be this time?”. I readily admit to a raging case of ODS, which trumps any other xDS I might have. If despising Obama to the extent that I would take ANY other candidate over him gets me banned, that’s life. I ain’t gonna lie.

It’s the Tea Party’s quickest route to extinction. Be shocked at every conservative who is anti-Obama, declare them non-existent, then be shocked to find they have no base left. Brilliant!!!!

I haven't seen the tea party movement doing this at all. So far it has only been Free Republic.

Maybe Ted thinks it’s better to have a President who is a Moderate Morman than a Marxist Muslim.

But on this issue, he has not used a lot of weasel words.

http://www.mittromney.com/issues/gun-rights

I suspect he know he doesn’t have a chance otherwise.

True, but why would we believe the words of a man who said he was a "Severe" conservative Governor of MA and he has always been Pro-Life?

Remember, this is the man who supported the Brady Bill and implemented his OWN "Assault Weapons" ban.

You are right. Mark my word, the Tea Party will endorse Romney in the end. Then the Tea Party will join Levin, Cheney, Bachmann, Nugent, Cain, and Palin on the purge list.

“No one who supports him will do so based on his record; all they’ll be able to do is point out that he isn’t Obama.”

“You are correct. And if one despises obama as much as some people despise Romney - it’s motivation enough.”

Bingo - see my #68

One can’t do everything in their power to Bash Romney and then still claim to want Obama to be defeated.

Oh, I don't know. There's still a sizable group of true believers out there who fully expect that Newt Gingrich will steamroll across the remaining primary states, emerge from Tampa as the Republican nominee, choose Sarah Palin as his running mate and deliver an electoral knockout to President Obama of the likes of which we haven't seen since Reagan beat Mondale in '84.

It's gonna happen, I tell ya'! As I'm posting this, Newt is renting out his donor list to fund this final blitzkrieg.

Why didn’t Newt ask for Nugent’s endorsement?

Oh, I remember. That was the reason I signed up to post-—to join the side of the Perry supporters who were getting so much fire.

Someone posted an article about all of the candidates, including the ones who are now gone, being put into a computer to see who could beat Obama. Perry came up the clear winner. I hope and pray he will run for national office again one day. Last I heard, he isn’t ruling it out, but it doesn’t help us now, unfortunately.

Many Conservatives are disgusted with Eric Holder, putting a tax cheat at the head of IRS, the attacks on states trying to prevent voter fraud, etc. They feel our main priority should be to prevent Obama from reelection.
