Last fall, the ACLJ intervened in the Camp Pendleton Memorial Cross controversy.
In honor of their fallen comrades, a number of Marines erected two memorial crosses, only to have the Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers threaten them with a lawsuit.
According to this atheist group, allowing fellow Marines to raise two crosses sends a message of "exclusion" to others.

Atheism is just Islam with one god less.
Exclusion from what?? No one is stopping them from being an atheist and no one is making them “Christian”.
“Exclusion from what??”
Just a straw man argument. The objective is and always has been the eradication of Christianity.
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:18
I wonder if it is still there?
I see then it is alright for the atheist to send a message of "exclusion"
Nontheistic service members including atheists, agnostics, humanists, freethinkers, and others identifying as nontheists serve honorably within our nation's military. Chaplains should support nontheistic service members with the same enthusiasm, resources, and services that they provide for theistic service members. Leaders should not use their position to influence individuals or the chain of command to adopt the leader's own personal religion. These are minimum standards of conduct to which all service members, especially chaplains and commanders, should adhere."
So they want the services of the chaplains as long as the chaplains don't mention God!? Truly the fool has said in his heart 'there is no God' .
When you look at the crosses, you’ll notice a pile of rocks at the base of the crosses. What the Marines should do is simply place a pile of rocks, without a cross, next to them. Then claim the pile of rocks are for the atheist’s.
Station some of the cross supporters at the crosses, then invite the aethiests to come and take the crosses down.
Putting up something you don’t agree with doesn’t EXCLUDE you... you are free to put up a memorial to your non belief... but of course you don’t believe in anything, so ...
idiotic.
