President Obama declared today National Equal Pay Day, as he called for equal pay for equal work between men and women. The day is designed to call attention to his campaign talking points, and chiefly to honor his own accomplishments on women's economic issues.
"I call upon all Americans to recognize the full value of women's skills and their significant contributions to the labor force, acknowledge the injustice of wage discrimination, and join efforts to achieve equal pay," Obama said in the declaration. Certainly, women's work (in and out of the home, as Hilary Rosen had to admit) is very significant and wage discrimination is unjust. But this declaration is about getting Obama reelected, and nothing else.

Obama should start with taking the 18% more men in the administration and use that to pay down the debt. Then throughout the federal government, with the exception of the military, take that 18% from the men and put it towards the debt.
Does he even proof read the BS that he spouts forth? Who writes this nonsense for him? He can’t be too smart if he publicly professes policy that contradicts his own actions. Even his ‘base’ which is pretty stupid can’t be THAT stupid.
Sweet.....hopefully in the spirit of equality he mentioned men are going to be given equal bearing in custody battles and abortion decisions right? Right? Anybody?

Well since it’s been reported that the same job in government pays almost double what the private sector pays for the same work then either one or the other should be equal.
Obama is not only going for Class War and Race War. He is salivating at a Gender War too.
All Obama has ever been is an inner-city Chicago activist trained in Alinsky tactics...how to divide people. Remember when he campaigned on being a "uniter"? LOL.
Can I make an observation, which will make Obama look foolish, but is factually true?
The Equal Pay Act of 1963 bans discrimination in pay between men and women in the same jobs.
So, if Obama really thinks that there is a major problem with women not being paid on a par with men in the workplace, he and Eric Holder already have laws and legal actions on their side, to pursue lawsuits, and any other remedies, that they feel are necessary.
Since this “discrimination” which Obama bemoans is already against the law, and if he really feels this is a major problem, then why doesn’t he direct the Justice Department to do something about this problem???
I know talk is cheap, and talk is cheaper among politicians, however, if this is really a problem in our country, the appropriate laws are already on the books. Obama should enforce them, if they really need enforcing.
He’s not stupid, he’s perfect and has his Perfectworld vision.
