Glenn spent a good portion of his show Tuesday night on GBTV to address Warren Buffetts connections to TransCanadas Keystone XL oil pipeline. Does the Oracle from Omaha have an interest in seeing the project killed? Glenns research team compiled quite a bit of evidence that could certainly lead one to reach that conclusion.
...the State Department advised the President to reject the proposal to extend the Keystone XL pipeline because it was not in the national interest of the country at this time. But why would Obama choose to not support this project when he has backed so many green energy projects, even ones that have failed like Solyndra.
... According to research done by GBTV and The Blaze, Warren Buffetts Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC railroad a unit of Buffetts Omaha, Nebraska based Berkshire Hathaway would be among those poised to reap sizable gains by the administrations decision to reject TransCanadas oil pipeline permit. Berkshire Hathaway purchased a 22% (or, $34 billion share) of the 32,000 mile line in 2009, shortly after Obama was elected.
.. GBTV uncovered a startling connection between Berkshire Hathaways home-state and that states Senator Ben Nelson, who voted against the Keystone XL and lobbied that it be re-routed to avoid Nebraska. Ironically, the Senators attempts to thwart the pipeline were done while he himself maintained his state would heartily welcome the jobs created from the Keystone project. While Nelsons position then seems counterintuitive, add to it the fact that he is heavily invested in Buffetts Berkshire Hathaway.
GBTV revealed that from 2007 to 2012 Nelson contributed $27,000 to the company itself and according to a recent financial disclosure statement from 2008, he owned between $1.5 and $6 million of the companys stock his largest investment in any one company to date

Corn is used to make mythanol.
Cheap and abundant oil can kill the pseudo demand for mythanol overnight.
The $inators/Congre$$its from the Corn belt are $crewing Americans by pushing Mythanol and killing the pipeline.

Obama trades off jobs for fund money?hell of a way to get votes. /s
” The $inators/Congre$$its from the Corn belt are $crewing Americans by pushing Mythanol and killing the pipeline.”
Yep!
It is so simple and yet amazing how this $crewing of America/Americans is justified by so many including faux conservatives on this board because it is so “Green”!
90% of anything relating to “green” is a scam.
That is absolutely the correct view of the shituation!!!
When you can count on compliant MSM to cover for you, that's actually a pretty good bet. No sarc required.....
Choo choooooo!!!!
Chooo choooooo!
Had me laughing yesterday, the buffett stuff didn’t, it pissed me off.
Obama doesn’t see it as trading off jobs. Obama sees it as more rail related jobs as opposed to jobs building a new pipeline. New rail lines, or busier rail lines, require a lot of new rail, which is greatly subsidized with federal tax dollars.
Even the United Steelworkers union had a statement on their web site, supporting the Obama ban on Keystone. This is an election year and the unions are a top priority.
Obama’s goal is to drive the country into bankruptcy, not pull it out.
