Good News: Romney Knows the Media's Out to Destroy Him
Breitbart ^ | April 18, 2012 | John Nolte

Posted on 04/19/2012 12:56:04 AM PDT by lbryce

Republicans should rejoice. When it comes to understanding the threat of the media, in a news-making interview with our own Larry O'Connor yesterday, Governor Mitt Romney proved he is no John McCain.

Whether the story is true or not, I don't know, but sometime during the 2008 election, someone told me that our candidate, John McCain, said something to the effect of, "All these relationships I've made in the media are really going to pay off now."

And not just the media - he needs to understand that the way Axelrod-Obama win elections is by destroying the opponent so he never gets to election day.

Actually, wouldn’t that be interesting. Romeny gets the nom over bitter conservative protest. Then Obama brings out something that takes him out — makes him withdraw. Then Newt gets in there and cleans his clock.

Agreed. The only way to beat them is to refuse to dance to their tune. Bush did it when he said “we’ve already been over my drug record, now we’re not going to talk about it any more. Next question.” I thought that man in there had borrowed a page from Bush’s playbook when he flat refused to talk about his past associations etc., but apparently that’s just how mean he is.

Really, nobody is defending him. I know one guy who will, nobody else even wants to discuss him. At LEAST 70% know the guy is an embarassment. Romney has a very good chance of becoming 44, with a mandate. I realize, that’s good news and bad news, but have hopes that with a strong conservative congress, we can uh.. “lead” him to do the right thing when he goes off the rails, as we did with W.

He won’t do that. I had a dream that he ran a weaker campaign than McCain, but I don’t think he will. He’s going to try to be extremely sensible, to cast himself as reasonable and sensible, compared to that man’s irrationality and constant divisiveness.

I have this sense that when that man got the Democrat nomination, McCain said (at least to himself, if not others), I AM NOT GOING TO BE THE GUY THAT BEAT THE GUY WHO WAS THE FIRST BLACK NOMINEE FOR PRESIDENT.” Moreover, he may not even have wanted to have to deal with everything that has come. So he sold us merrily down the river. I detest that guy.

Hello? That is exactly what Romney has been doing to his Republican opponents.

We will not survive another term of Obama

That should have been thought of before (assumably) nominating someone who can not beat 0bama.

When did that happen with Bush? When he wanted No Child Left Behind he let Ted Kennedy write it and he got it. When he wanted MediCare Part D he got it. When he wanted Federally funded Faith-based Charities he got it. When exactly did Congress lead him away from his socialist tendencies?

...and just exactlly how is that bubbling, no spine, flip-flopper going to stay on any topic he's presented with when he has no clear understanding of which side of the issues he stands on? He will use every question to "chat" the 'Romney chat' as always...no substance...no plan...nothing with teeth at all. He'll be as evasive as ever. Romney won't go up against the media at all...never...he'll go along to play along as usual.

I don't disagree at all. Romney's politics are off-the-charts bad and he is not a good campaigner. The Republican Party has been sold a bill of goods which will become apparent this fall, IMO. I don't think that Romney will stay on task and the MSM and the Obama team will keep Romney off-balance all fall.

No skin off my nose...I'm not voting for Romney

Nor am I. Ever. I'm not voting for one turd because it doesn't smell quite as bad as the other turd.

Funny - it sure didn’t seem that way considering how Gingrich, Santorum, Perry , Cain and all non-RINOs were trashed in the primaries!

The “Mitt is the inevitable nominee” Drumbeat came right after Iowa, designed to silence conservatives.

McCain really said that? Reminds me of that sickly deer in Bambi (the book) who was raised up by humans, and then let loose in the wild with a collar around his neck that nullified his natural camouflage. All the deer smelled hunters in the area, and he went over to say ‘hi’ to them, and never came back.

I overhead liberals complaining at work about the Obama ate dogs story. It's good to see them upset, they like dishing out crap but can't take it. It's time we fought back, no attack goes without an attack going the other way.

Good..I hope the media rips him apart..but it ain't gonna happen.

I talked to a die-hard leftist today (yes..an MSNBC watcher) who is sympathetic to Romney. Tells you all you need to know.Like the leftists on Fox explained.."It will be close." And this is correct..they will make sure they suck in viewers by keeping it just "balanced" enough to make it a fake contest to keep people watching. I hate the enemedia.

Exactly. Two leftist Harvard indoctrinated tools running against one another, and the media treats with silk covered gloves...what are the odds?

That’s for the weak to instill fear so they will vote for mitt. America deserves more than just anyone, she deserves THE BEST, Newt. Don’t say he can’t win because that lie has been repeated from the beginning and the gullible ate it.

I imagine that Romney will use the same skills and tactics against Obama that he’s used during the Primary. This is a good thing.

That is exactly what Romney has been doing, that and spending a lot of money.

It is working,
