The warning posters titled “Japan Tsunami Marine Debris: What to do if you see debris” are going up at beaches around Washington now and will be replaced as they weather or disappear, said Charles Wallace, Deputy Director of Emergency Management for Grays Harbor County.

Here’s what the poster says:

...Human remains: It is extremely unlikely any human remains from the tsunami will reach the United States. However, if you encoun-ter any remains, immediately call 9-1-1 and give local authorities a detailed report about what you observed. Do not touch or attempt to move.

Sad - I imagine there will be the odd foot-in-the-tennis-shoe that will be found.

Do folks really need someone telling them to not play with rotted body parts, should have added, please don’t eat nails, body parts, or swallow what Obamma is shoveling...

If a body part washes up from the tsunami, think of all the sharks and other creatures who saw it first and said to themselves “Eh....no, thanks. I’ll wait for something better.”

If it’s a Lexus I’m cleaning it up and driving it off...even though the steering wheel will be on the wrong side.

There won't be any body parts.Any flesh would have been eaten or would have completely decayed by now and bones would have sunk. But that *is* a pretty sad scenario.

I have a daughter headed out to the coast for a photography workshop this weekend. The weather is going to be iffy (as usual) so it will be interesting to see what kind of “scenery” she comes up with for subject material.
