Black Conservative Mia Love Wins Utah GOP’s 4th Congressional District Nomination

Black Mormon Conservative Mia Love won the GOP’s 4th Congressional District nomination

Mia Love pulled a major upset, winning the Republican Party nomination in Utah’s 4th Congressional District, advancing to face U.S. Rep. Jim Matheson in November. Love won 70.4 percent of the vote from the delegates while former state lawmaker Carl Wimmer captured 29.6 percent.

From Love4Utah website:

In November 2011, Mia Love filed to run for Utah’s newly formed 4th Congressional District based on her demonstrated leadership on conservative principles. She credits her parents with providing the foundation for her ideals. After many years of living in the unstable, regime-torn socialist island country of Haiti, her parents immigrated legally to the United States with $10 in their pockets in hopes of achieving the American Dream.

Mia was born in Brooklyn, New York and eventually moved to Connecticut. Mia recalls both parents working hard to earn a living, her father at times taking on second jobs cleaning toilets to pay for school for their three children. On the day of Mia’s college orientation, her father said something to her that would become the ethos for her life:

“Mia, your mother and I never took a handout. You will not be a burden to society. You will give back.

. As City Councilwoman and eventually Mayor, Mia led the city through a period of 1700% population growth in a decade. Under her leadership, the city was able to successfully navigate the drastic transition from agricultural fields to a booming residential community. When the citizen growth necessitated fire and police services, Mia fought to make sure the city’s first ever residential tax implementation would only pay for those essential services, and she structured it in such a way that the tax decreased as a percentage of property value. Go Mia, Go!

A black conservative woman is a candidate for Congress. What will the liberals say about her? What type of character assassination will they use? It’s got to create a quandary for liberals on how to attack her, because they don’t want to be called racists.................

Her candidacy helps pierce the “big lie”, that Republicans do not have diversity in the party, and that the GOP represents mainly older white voters.

I’m surprised that it wasn’t bigger news in 2010, when we saw the election of Allen West and Tim Scott to Congress, both black Republicans.

In the same year, we saw the election of governors Nikki Haley of South Carolina, Susana Martinez of New Mexico, and Brian Sandoval of Nevada. Governor Haley is of Indian descent; her parents are Indians from India. Governors Martinez and Sandoval are Hispanic. And all are Republicans.

Add in others, such as Bobby Jindal and Marco Rubio, and we see that there is plenty of the diveristy in the Republican party, which the liberals don’t seem to see. This Republican diversity seldom seems to show up in the narrative in the MSM.

What will the liberals say about her?

They'll scream bloody murder that she is for capitalism, and that she thinks there is a US flag planted on the Moon.

They will say she is married to a white man and that disqualifies her for "being down for the struggle".

Also, she is Haitian. Afro-Caribbean blacks do not buy into the cult of victimhood that the race whores of this country promote.

I agree. This is why I say our side can't pander, but must show that when we succeed, everybody wins. When the economy recovered from the mess that was Carternomics, everybody won. When the Cold War ended, everybody won. When Welfare Reform passed, everybody won.

When Welfare Reform passed, everybody won.

Not so sure about that. Besides, that was Clinton ‘s doing.

But wait a minute............

We’re supposed to be post-racial and all that.

It is not uncommon to see prominent black men who have white wives. Nothing is said about that situation. So why would post-racial liberals have anything to say about a black woman with a white husband?

Her candidacy many prove to be a difficult target for the liberals attacks.
