Police say a man attacked a 65-year-old woman with a knife and ripped the earrings from her body.
Police are investigating the robbery and attack of a woman who they say tried to help a person who she believed to be the victim of a car accident.
It happened Saturday at 9:45 p.m. in Galloway Township. Police say as a 65-year-old woman drove home from the Atlantic City casinos, two vehicles began to follow her on Old Port Republic Road.
The woman told police one of the vehicles passed her and appeared to race up the road in front of her. Seconds later she found what appeared to be the same vehicle sideways across the road in front of her car, forcing her to stop, according to investigators.
The woman claims she saw a person “slumped” over the wheel. Police say she rolled her window down to ask if the person needed help. Suddenly, police say, the driver of the second vehicle that remained behind her approached her with a stocking covering his face and a knife in his hand. The suspect allegedly demanded money and jewelry. Police say the suspect cut the woman on her arm and ripped her earrings from her body. Both vehicles then fled South on Old Port Republic Road back towards US Route 9.
“I would think that someone was definitely watching her to find out exactly what she had, her route home, things like that. Doesn’t seem to be a random act,” said Lt. Chris Doyle, Galloway Township Police.

I'm pinging the CW2 list to alert you to a new ambush tactic, very sophisticated in fact. Two crook cars on an isolated road find a lone prey vehicle, and box it in front and rear. They clearly ID'd the elderly woman, alone, as an easy victim.
In the FaceBook/Twitter era, effective tactics like this will proliferate rapidly. IOW, rolling ambushes will happen oftener and oftener. Study this case, and plan accordingly. In the breakdown of society post or during collapse, more and more criminals will try more and more tricks. Put this on your radar.

The first instinct of decent people is to stop and render aid. Thugs take advantage of this fact. I think that is what I despise most about them. They take someone’s instinct to help another person in trouble and use it against them.
Then we all have to be on our guard so someone who may truly need help desperately will have to wait until the donut crunchers actually bother to show up. Which in a location like that could be quite some time.

Yep, it’s an evil tactic. But the excellent timing of the ambush team means it’s much more than that. They had a real understanding of the timing and geographical factors. Did they follow her from Atlantic City, then just launch upon her when they came to this rural stretch of road? Or did they start with the road as a perfect isolated ambush site, and then choose the car/victim of their choosing, before launching out in pursuit? Waiting in the weeds, like lions for a passing impala? Never heard of one like this before.

Pondering the subject of the attackers identity occupies most of the comments on the original story. Most seem to think they would look like Obama’s sons.

Yup. Things are getting interesting. No amount of PC cover by the libs is going to set common-sense aside. We just might have a chance.
I wonder if those comments will still be there past, say, noon tomorrow. Or if there’s a just a “comments have been suspended for this story” type message.
People are really, really fed up with this nonsense. Any future Zimmerman riots will be well-defended against, is my take.
It seems like the respondants have figured out a way to speak in moderator-acceptable code. “Obama’s sons” etc.
Plus, after the Martin/Zimmerman case, NBC may be feeling as though they have been “outed” for selective coverage, and might be sensitive to charges that they are deleting posts about a crime story the “wrong” way, that is, black on white.
As of now, Monday, 1959 hrs, there are zero (0) comments for that story at that site....Hmmmm
Fernando “FerFAL” Aguirre alluded to this kind of robbery/kidnapping tactic in his book. It was happening in Argentina. Impromptu roadblocks, motorists looking as if they need help, and so forth. Also, “delivery” and “repair” men doing home invasions.

Well it’s most likely that the location was one of opportunity rather than planning, but thats pure conjecture on my part. Not that they couldn’t have planned it out that well, I just think it’s more likely it was a “hey this is a perfect spot. Do it NOW.” kind of a thing.
Either way it’s a damned effective tactic and one we should all be aware of.

Jesus, this is spooky and gave me chills, v. 2.0.
Years ago, when cell phones were just coming and were the size of walkie-talkies, I bought one for the wife. My boy and his wife had just moved to Monroeville, AL. We were in Navarre Beach, FL and the roads in between were really desolate - especially the one out of Brewton, AL. (Looked just like that picture.)
Wife went on up to visit the kids. Just outside of Brewton a big Cadillac with one of obama’s sons passed, pulled in front and started pacing her. Another car with obama’s son II came up from behind and paced as well. The cell was so new she didn’t know how to use it but made a big display of talking on the phone.
The Caddy in front suddenly took off like a shot, leaving son II probably wondering WTF. He quickly pulled over and stopped. Wife continued but never did see the other guy. We reported it to the town police in Brewton and the Alabama State Police but never heard anything more.
To this day, both of us believe she would have been robbed, raped, and maybe murdered as it was boondocks up there and you’d never be found. I wouldn’t let her go that way alone again and she never argued. There hasn’t been a time when I thought of that incident that I didn’t break out in a cold sweat and bless the day I married a quick-thinker.
