Department of Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said that "no one knows" if gasoline prices in the United States will reach $9 per gallon, and acknowledged that the possibility is outside his control.
"I don't think anyone can speculate what will happen with respect to oil prices and gas prices because they are set on the global economy," Salazar told reporters when asked if gas prices could reach $9 per gallon, as they have been in Greece. "Where it will all end, no one knows.
He explained that "what we see happening today are the influences first of unrest in places like the Middle East and Iran, which disrupt the markets and allow the futures markets to play on some of what they see [in] the unrest around the world; and secondly the huge demand that you've started seeing in places like China, India and Brazil."

What we are seeing today is the result of 30 years of Democrat obstruction of domestic energy production. Eleven years ago they were arguing against drilling ANWAR becuase it would take 10 years to see results. If the Pubs were smart they would do a commercial featuring all the prominent Dems saying just that, with the dates, and then a clip of this DB saying we could have nine dollar gas.
Heard a clip today on radio of this bottom-feeding, commie, slimeball, saying that drilling in the Gulf is back to what it was before the oil spill.
If gas gets to9 dollars a gallon , many will have to look at their jobs and look at welfare and decide which is the best way to go.
$9 a gallon gas by November 6th would be fine by me, and I drive 360 miles a week to get to work and back.
What makes up the price per gallon in Greece?
Do they pay more for oil than we do?
Or do they slap 6 dollars worth of tax on it to pay for their Parasite Policies?
