The upper achievers don’t want to share their freaking GPA, but they want to share my money. I can’t wait to see these ignorant school smart kids get their first paychecks and see how money is being stolen from us workers.
Here is how I explain taxes and the diference between Republicans and Democrats:
Frank, Joe, and John pitch in to buy a $10 pizza.
Frank pays $5 so he can eat half the pizza.
Joe and John $2.50 each to eat the other half of the pizza.
When the pizza comes, the real cost is only $9.
Republicans believe that Frank should get back 50 cents, Joe and John 25 cents each.
Democrats believe Tyrone should get the dollar, and Pedro should get the pizza.

I like this idea. Everyone winds up a “C” student so nobody fails and they all graduate Magna Cum Lousy. The end result, of course, is that nobody will bother trying which is exactly what became of the Soviet economy.
Since it was an abject failure, liberals are hellbent to use the same practices here.
Well, that is what the “curve” in grading is all about. What! You don agree - haha...
There was a joke, said to be from Poland, in Reader’s Digest in the 70’s or so which made this point.
A commissar was trying to convince a farmer of the wisdom of communal property. “If you had two houses, wouldn’t you be willing to share one of them with another family?” he asked. “Certainly,” said the farmer.
“And if you had two tractors, wouldn’t you be willing to share one with another farmer?” “Yes. I think so,” was the reply.
“And if you had two horses, wouldn’t you share one of them?” “No, not at all,” said the farmer this time.
“But why not?”
“Because I HAVE two horses.”
We had grade redistribution when I was in school, it’s called the “curve.’
He required the students to choose the "socialist" grading system or the "capitalist" grading system, Friday of the first week.
Grade points were assigned by "need" in the socialist system and by "product" in the capitalist system.
The socialist kids were surprised when only one passed with an A++ and everybody else failed, they figured easy C.
The capitalist kids always looked like the standard bell curve, just light on the failures.
Yikes! Did you read some of the comments to that article? Some of those people have been indoctrinated beyond redemption.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
